I’ll go with Embracer Group as the buyer for Private Division. Happy that Take Two Interactive will still be supporting No Rest For The Wicked. Looking forward to it when it releases on consoles in 2025.

Embracer were downsizing, I don’t know why would they want to acquire more now. I’m feeling this is not one of the Western gaming companies we know, could be from Asia, might be the Saudi PIF? We’ll see

Yeah I just clocked why Nintendo went after Switch emulators. Switch 2 is basically gonna share the same underlying architecture of the Switch, meaning its emulation is gonna be pretty quick with further development on those emulators (which Nin now killed). They wanted to avoid another Dolphin situation where it started emulating Wii games because the Wii was similar in architecture to GameCube.

I don’t think we should restrict what people can discuss on the forums as a whole. I do agree however that we can keep things away from the general threads (like this one) or where it doesn’t belong, but starting to close threads in off-topic, or ban topics from discussion seems unnecessarily heavy handed.

You can mute threads you are not interested in, no one is forcing you to read them.

No clue what price is respectable, but maybe look at prices on ebay and listing sites to determine value in region. I would say its worth getting and can alsways get a disc drive if you want physical

I don’t mean to bring up politics in here, I leave that to Twitter, but I do think it’s worth discussing the possibility of gaming hardware prices going up due to tariffs. It beyond video cards and consoles but also with peripherals and all other sorts of stuff.

It may also change strategies with these gaming hardware makers.

Yup and yup. Politics are inescapable, even in gaming - so there will always be exceptions made for direct correlations like this.

Probably not a publicly traded company, maybe Saudi Arabia again?

Considering it’s manufactured outside the US and tariffs will be imposed on US customers once imported to their country, maybe for once the rest of the world will actually be paying less for consoles since I’m guessing tariffs shouldn’t affect the rest of us in the end?

Yes. As a Canadian, my prices will seem more reasonable when compared to American prices as this will only affect Americans.
