I was hesitant to post it here because I saw the news from other source; thinking the user must have gotten the news wrong with Xbox. Plus it was reported at 6 am in the morning, I’m like that meme with the guy being blinded by the light. So my eyes began to open wider and checked from official source. Long behold, it’s real.

The fact he now claims it and announce it today with Xbox release tells me this man was already working on the port. He really wanted to put the game on other platform.

Wonder how that happened though. Like I’m a bit surprised Sony would let it go. It is a good selling franchise so far. They could have garnered more revenue from the franchise, including with a film coming. Guess the sequel will have an asterisk next time a trailer is posted.
Day one though? Probably not, but yeah, I can see that too.
Icing on the cake would have been Game Pass because didn’t it land on PC Game Pass too? Either way, shocked this didn’t even leak.
I believe 3 will be day one. 2 is far into the production on PS5, it’s best to get it out there first and then work on the port.
It would have been cool to be on Game Pass. Maybe in the future. That said the price right now is pretty good.

I was just looking through the Xbox subreddit when I saw Death Stranding on Xbox Series X|S an Windows, but I thought that was some kind of mistake.
I double checked and couldn’t believe it. And when I saw the price on the store I was like : what ?? What is going on ? Out of nowhere !!
An other Sony exclusive game on Xbox ! I guess it’s fair.

I started it on PC Game Pass but performance was not that great on my business laptop. Hope its the same achievement list.

Cool! I claimed it free on the Epic store ages ago and played through the first 3 chatpers when it wan on PC Game Pass, but would much rather play it on console, so instant buy at that price.

If they want to blame someone, blame Sony for letting the IP go. They can’t fault for Kojima for wanting to share it with everyone.
Could be a timed deal according to Andy Robinson at VGC, as it was released on PS4 exactly 5 years ago.

Interesting statement. Maybe day one for 2? We’ll see. It’s possible and likely Sony has a deal for that.
As much as the stables love to say *haha, Xbox is third party, we have exclusives. " nope, all you have are timed exclusives. Sony is just as much a third party now, has been for a while as soon as they shipped to PC.
