If history has taught us anything, it’s that it never really gets any better. I could go on a diatribe about human behavior and politics, but this really isn’t the place for it and I’m honestly just mentally exhausted at this point. I’m just going to disassociate for the next 4 years and try to tune everything out.

Buddy of mine has a spare PS5 he wants to sell. A slim digital. He offered it to me and asked what I’m willing to pay for it. The console is one year old.
What is a respectable price? Because I have no idea to be honest.
You can look up on ebay how much they’re asking for it. I saw a PS5 digital at 320€ there.
Yeah, the important thing here for me is that it’s a year old, so I think that means one year of warranty left too.

A fair friendship price would be maybe €250. I wouldn’t pay much more than that for used. (I’d expect Black Friday sales for €350 brand new, maybe €299.)
Sony has put out some pretty good deals in the past. Don’t overpay, if you’re not in a hurry to get one.

Well, the thing is,…
I was kinda thinking theoretically buying the Slim, selling it and then maybe put that money aside and get the Pro sometime next year. I’m a hardcore Rockstar fan, and I have little to no doubt GTA VI will be best on that, but of course it won’t only be for that game. It’ll be for their own titles too.
Xbox first party games I will get for Xbox since I have Game Pass and I don’t feel like waiting months or longer for it to hit PS5. Right now I have zero need for a PS5, absolutely zero. But then my friend asked me if I was interested and well…I’m gonna think some more on it first. =)
I wouldn’t go past $300 U.S. for the PS5 Slim because you’ll need to buy the disc drive attachment unless he has one and is including it or you personally don’t care about discs anymore.
I would say that if it came down to buying a new PS5 for $500+, at that point you would be better off going for the PS5 Pro instead. But if you can snag that PS5 Slim for $300, that should tide you over until PS6.
I kinda want to avoid talking about it here in these forums. I took two days leave because I knew work would be talking about it, and dropped off socials because I didn’t want to see my friends’ reactions (good or bad). I haven’t watched or seen news for the last 36 hours, except just for now to see the results, and will probably not read news for an indefinite period.
I hope people will not talk about this or any politics here, and keep XboxEra a safe place from that kind of thing. (And also for mods to perhaps close the Ukraine War thread as well.)

Ain’t this some shit, jesus.
Last mission in GTA 4, at some point Niko hangs onto a helicopter and you have to tap A several times to get on board. Usually no problem. But the game is 60fps on XSX and apparently that requires you to tap A double as fast. If you just tap it normally you’ll fail.
I Googled it and saw YouTube videos of people swiping the A button incredibly fast and then it works, but I guess I’m not fast enough. I finished the game on 360 years ago, but I want to finish it now too, sigh.
