Why is it miraculous that it runs on last-gen? Isn’t the technical makeup based on last-gen’s MW19?

Did the game look like it needed a bunch of improvements? Looked fine to me? Maybe performance issues? It’s not like there are deep rooted issues with the game.

Maybe people were expecting they were somehow going to… change the main character? Lol

The delay was for polish, so yea no clue what he means.

It’s kinda annoying when these “insiders” are being coy, if that’s the right word. Just say what it is. But all we’re getting is that some development stuff was crazy.

It’s good they aren’t. The two characters will provide a nice balance and variety in terms of playstyle. I like that.

I gotta say, it does look nice.

And apparently here it’s switched around. Left is Pro.

So yeah, can’t deny, that’s quite nice with the RT.

800 euro nice?

No.

It’s all single source stuff, means nothing to me anymore.

Reflections are the least impressive type of ray-tracing, the only one that truly changes an experience is path traced lighting.

That’s what Cyberpunk has on PC, right? Making it look wholly different compared to consoles? Can Pro do that or unknown as of now?

4090’s can barely do it without frame gen. The PS5 pro’s PSSR doesn’t have that.

Yeah, Shadows and Reflections do nothing for me

IDK about saving Ubisoft but AC Valhalla was a fabulous game and AC Odyssey had probably the best protagonist in gaming history (for me, obviously). Immortals Fenyx Rising had problems but also had incredibly inventive puzzle design.

I really want another one of those games even with some bugs that will be patched out. Seems odd to try and kick a dev team while they are down.

I see people talking about what could be launch titles for Switch 2, and I think Hi-Fi Rush maybe has a chance? I legitimately think if it’s a launch title and gets featured in their reveal showcase, it would blow up on there and sell a lot on Switch 2.

I love proper reflections but I hate that it’s an expensive implementation that they haven’t figured out without RT or some demanding tech. I feel like we had more instances of proper reflections in games of the generations before HD :upside_down_face:

Certainly possible tho I am dubious just how many people want a rhythm action game (sadly!). I imagine the Bethesda side of Xbox (and maybe Sea of Thieves) will show up there too. Skyrim presumably.

Nintendo marketing and association with Switch 2 launch could really lift it up high, you never know.

Skyrim, for the 1000th time? Sure why not!

If it’s not RTGI, I don’t care :man_shrugging:

Skyrim with mods! and hopefully Bethesda address some of the issues with the creation menu for the launch.

Nvidia DLSS is the only way to manage it at anywhere remotely near a decent resolution and frame rate now - the Pro doesn’t stand a chance of doing it.

Even with a near-top-end Nvidia card and a balanced PC setup I had to cut it to 1440p upscaled with DLSS balanced mode limited to 30fps to get ray tracing in global illumination mode - I’ve tried Metro Exodus too which has it.

It’s very pretty and can look pretty lifelike in certain areas - Spider Man on the other hand has ray tracing but honestly I’ve struggled to see the difference with my PS4 version despite being an image quality geek…

For me though, nothing comes close still to The Matrix: Awakening demo for Unreal 5 on the Series X, admittedly that wasn’t a full game but as someone else mentioned it shows that non-RT approaches can more than match up.

And I’ve still yet to see anything on my PC or from the Pro reviews that come close to the “is that a game or real life?” feeling that I’ve got playing that Matrix demo, Hellblade 2, Flight Sim and Forza Horizon 5 all on the 4 year old base Xbox Series X - and I’ve no doubt Gears E-Day and Flight Sim 2024 will continue help Xbox to blow away graphically anything the other console can do…
