XboxEra Community Hangout |OT13| The Bakers Dozen

We’ve definitely had reflections in mirrors and such since at least the 360. But these days they’re trying to sell it like some kind of futuristic breakthrough that’s impossible without the magic of raytracing. :man_shrugging:

RT just does it for devs with relatively little work. I imagine if we had these powerful consoles but without RT, devs could have figured new techniques for proper reflections that are optimized & performant.

Teardown / Minecraft are still the biggest showcases of RTGI to me personally. Even in CP77, I found it just made it look more generic rather than highlighting what seemed to be the intended visual style.

All I know is I’m playing AW2 and on break, playing Division 2 expansion since it’s free (base game, already bought expansion); then I go back quick resume, without worrying about the save point.

How are you doing.

Everyone seem to think this is bad. Can anyone explain why? Since you can’t interact with them, I don’t see the harm. I think it can even be good thing, as it helps when people have overly itchy trigger fingers. For example, during the Activision acquisition saga, I replied to one of Jason Schreier’s posts with a link to a Hoeg Law video, and I guess he didn’t like that and blocked me. If I still used X, this change would save me the hassle of using incognito tabs just to see something he said.

Easy for you to say. Others won’t be kind as some can be…wild. They will use the chance to not only react in a more negative way but also interrupt your algorithm. Screenshot and react is so simple.

I’m sure many people that block don’t want blocked people to see their content at all. Probably more true for normal people that public figure types.

I can’t help but feel that if Trump loses, Twitter will shut down.

Yall getting any closer to turning off the ads for Patron’s? Haha

If the left is pro then I actually prefer the visuals from the normal PS5 here.

The image on the left doesn’t seem to have accurate colour reproduction. The right is more subtle but more accurate IMO.

Tell me about it!

I can live with the normal ones but the one which keeps popping up at the bottom (on mobile) which goes over the forum navigation and the full screen ads are really frustrating at this stage.

I can close the bottom ads but whenever I get the full screen ads the close button still doesn’t work for me so I have to close XboxEra and reopen it to get rid of it!

Square: Can I have that piece?

Sega: In due time.

I still don’t understand. If someone you’ve blocked screenshots your post and posts their comments, it still wouldn’t show up in your feed, right? If you block someone, not only can they not see what you post, but you can’t see what they post, right? Or am I wrong there?

I wasn’t being disingenuous above. I genuinely don’t understand.

Okay, but that is impossible to achieve. Just open an incognito window and you can view anyone’s feed. I’ve done so many times to see Schreier’s posts when he’s posted something that’s reposted here that won’t show up. The only thing this changes, I think, is the need for an incognito window. Unless, again, I’m misunderstanding the nuances of this change.

From the article that’s neatly 6 million in a year, for Persona.

SEGA why is there still no new Sonic All Stars Racing

The 360 version with fps boost still slaps but man a new one would be a dream

Before hellfire, Xbox decided to post this today.

It’s enough of a barrier to reduce it from happening, some people may not even know that works.

I’d think less about it being some gaming journalist and more about someone that doesn’t want some weirdo person/ex to see their posts

Persona 5 alone has surpassed the sales of the last several mainline Final Fantasy titles, and it’s exactly why I’ve argued Persona was the bigger get for years (love FF, but just being real to the times).
