Who does the spinoff ones?

They publish those but 3rd party devs make them. I think Tequila Works did the last one. I’m honestly not sure who the dev on this one is but I had assumed it was Riot proper.

Awesome!

Yep, Riot (Radiant Entertainment) is the actual dev for this game.

Could you imagine skipping Xbox after what they did with Game Pass perks for them?

lol yeah.

Most publishers and devs won’t be skipping Xbox.

This also reminds me that GPU users on Xbox and PC will have all the characters unlocked for 2XKO as well.

So once every three, four months my nephews come over and we love to play some videogames. For a long time it has been mostly LEGO games but I’m starting to get tired of it. You can only finish LEGO Batman, Indiana Jones etc games so many times until it just becomes too much.

So what other great couch co-op games are there on Xbox (Game Pass)? My nephew is 10, so something like Gears of War isn’t happening, but perhaps a smaller game? I am sure there is plenty out there. So I hope to get some great recommendations here.

The new tmnt should be fun, I think it’s still on game pass.

Edit: maybe more of a reach, but Vampire Survivors got the co-op update not to long ago.

Party Animals has local co-op as well.

Stardew Valley and Minecraft also have local co-op, it would be worth giving them a try. I think they are all on game pass(at least they come up on a search of the game pass app).

Good stuff! Much appreciated!

What about sports games? Battletoads, Castle Crashers, Overcooked, Rayman Origins or Legends?

You can always check on co-optimus and filter by system and ā€œcouch coopā€

Does Halo Firefight counts? lol.

Wow disco elysium was sooo good. So sad there won’t be a sequel. To Every jrpg writer this is how you write good characters. 9/10 at first it’s like it’s ok then things just build over time and there are times u get into situations and u have no idea how they are gonna turn out. I totally see why it won rpg of the year it came out. It did a good job of making u not like characters then making you like them.

Can it be played in couch co-op with split screen?

Minecraft Dungeons is basically Diablo in the Minecraft universe. My wife and I have been playing it on and off for a while and have yet to tire of it. Although one or two dungeons per session is probably to recommend, as it gets a bit samey, much like Diablo does.

A slightly different suggestion is Unravel Two. It’s a very cute puzzle-platformer. I’ve had a great time playing it with my niece, who is 11. It starts off perhaps being a bit too simplistic, but eventually both the puzzling and platforming becomes a bit more challenging.

Unravel Two is great, although I found some of the platforming very hard.

It Takes Two is nice, and less challenging.

Playing Banishers right now - if this is the future of sustainable AA/A single player gaming then sign me up, this game is putting a lot of AAA games to shame.

Shelving P3 after about 10 hours. I wish the series was more ambitious and scoped out.

They still insist on doing the ugly name of the game thing on these consoles. Just big and taking up a lot of space, if the name is something they need to keep doing they should really place it around the power button in smaller letters.
