A XboxEra project?
There has been some mentions about a secret project during streams.
To keep expectations in check, Jon and Predrag have been working on something off to the side for a bit and Jon is quite excited as itās getting ācloseā to being ready to be shown off for the first-time. Nothing earth-shattering or crazy, just a passion project related to the site.
Iām not meant to say, but stuff it. XboxEra is officially rebranding to NintendoEra John is stepping away and Nick will be the new boss going forward.
Meanwhile, as someone who loved his GameCube as much as his Xbox, Iām sitting here having incredibly fond memories of the last time Nintendo did: Eternal Darkness. RIP Silicon Knights but I loved both that and Too Human, probably more than most. Eternal Darkness is legit one of my favorite horror games of all time; great Lovecraftian story with some unique ideas to combat and gameplay (the sanity effects alone make me smile).
So I hope, for their sake, this turns out well I miss the Nintendo from the GCN era - they took a hell of a lot more chances and actually challenged the ākids consoleā bullshit narrative Sony fanatics were spinning back in those days.
Spain vs England final.
Everybody likes to criticize Southgate, but thatās his second final. Will be rooting for England because of Kane.
Kinda nuts how that dude scored the goal at pretty much the 90th minute, damn.
Ah well. My country had a nice one at the start and then it became not so great. And on the second half it was a lot better, but alas. Ah well.
Koeman is such a bad manager. Netherlands have some rapid players rotting on the bench like Frimpong or Zirkzee. Or not playing De Ligt at all.
Hmm I see. Thatās a damn shame then. I wasnāt aware of this because Iām far from a soccer watcher or fan, but when my country gets this far it becomes an event I want to experience. So those names donāt mean much to me.
I stopped my Elden Ring playthrough at the Fire giant as Iām exhausted, but wow, what a trip ! I canāt believe I made it this far without throwing a controller or crying in a pillow ! Guides definitely help me keep my sanity though ! Itās hard but still manageable with the right strategy (weapons and tools) and continued efforts.
I will say, itās definitely the most accessible Souls-like even though itās still an overly obscure and complicated game, but a really deep and an (almost) enjoyable experience nonetheless !
Yeah, specially the NPC questline, they are pretty much a game of hide and seek. Where they tell you theyāre going somewhere but donāt really tell you where, and we have to hope to actually find them along the way(looking at you specifically Millicent).
But overall itās a definitely froms more open game, the jumping button alone made it so much more accessible. Throw in more npc summons, spirit summons, status effects being so widely distrubuted and we have so many options on how to do things.
Canāt see Spain not winning the cup, we expected nothing here before it started but somehow they are playing way better than any other country, crazy how bad some teams with big names are playing.
Playing First Descendant and doing the 1st void intercept mission, every time 2 level 34 to 40 people are on it and the loading takes longer than the 5 second boss fight. So, the mats farming is going pretty well.
Hello guys iām looking to play a nier game for the first time after completing P3 reload, but iām not sure which one to play first out of these two?
Thank you
I just beat Automata and I have to say you canāt go wrong with that one. Story is great and gameplay is really smooth something that I love. Game is original and present new gameplay ideas, apart from the deep themes of its storyline.
I havenāt played Replicant but I read online it is somehow bloated so thereās that. It is also an older game strictly speaking.
I completed Nier Replicant which is a remaster of the PS3/360 game Nier. I played but didnāt complete Nier Automata but in the 10 hours or so I played of it, itās great and better than Replicant but Replicant released first.
Since I didnāt complete Automata, I donāt know if the story and characters are connected. I donāt think that they are but could be completely wrong on this. Iām sure thereās at least a few others here who have completed Automata and can provide more info.
Reason why I said Automata is better is due to the fact that it just looks, sounds and plays better than Replicant and has some cool gameplay elements starting with the opening of the game.
I recommend both but play Replicant first since it released first.
Most people find Replicant far worse than Automata and I believe the connections are pretty tenuous / minor.
Years ago I bought Nier Automata and played until the first boss. I died, and I expected to get a checkpoint where I could fight the boss again.
The dev thought it was a good idea to have you replay everything which iirc is about 40 minutes or so with non skippable cutscenes instead. I just donāt get this kind of nonsense and Iāve yet to pick it up again, lol.
