Most MMOs are grindy so I’m very used to it and don’t really mind it or the timers for weapons/heroes/upgrade mats.
As for the game itself, I think it’s really fun and the main thing that will keep people away will be not wanting to pay for characters/grinding them(so far, the grinding has been pretty lenient in comparison to ESO for me as we can do the first void mission over and over for weapons/gear to destroy for mats and after a while it’s like a 1-2 minute run, biggest timer so far has been 4 hours), because maybe the playstyle that will keep them around is on a character they haven’t unlocked yet. With maybe the wave based game type for rewards being the biggest grind because 10 waves is the minimum for necessary items.
Good luck to them, sincerely, but it’s difficult to see how if their games couldn’t find an audience before, they’re going to do better now with less people, less money, and no publisher.
They shot themselves in the foot by making Elex 2 way too big. Scaling back on the open world to make the world much smaller like Gothic 1/2 or Risen 1 is definitely a good idea.
I hope they realize why Elex 2 was such a failure that even hardcore PB fans hated this game.
