I didnât think console prices would work on mobile and I guess this shows that.
Companies are probably going to adopt a similar approach to Minecraft, where the mobile version cost less than the console pc version with less features to start. Because the only other option I can see working is play anywhere, and most companies want people to double dip.
That or game must be free (F2P).

Play Anywhere will help a bit overall but I think GP/a sub is the best play to attract mobile gamers
Mobile players have been trained to not pay big prices for games

Ignoring for a moment the realities of mobile store operations, I think an additional way to sell more licenses could be via bundles. If youâre already buying the PC or console version of a game, you can get a mobile license for an extra $5 or $10 or something.
That doesnât expand it to mobile-only gamers, I get that, but it could be one way to recoup some of the porting costs.
Agreed. Subscriptions is probably the future of this market. Hell, it seems subscription is the future of all entertainment consumption, be it movies, television, music, or gaming. For good and ill.
The only entertainment area where I donât know if subscription is the future is books, but only because libraries exist. Among readers I know the split seems to be buying or borrowing. I donât know anyone who uses something like Kindle Unlimited.

Yeah, it might not take over the industry in the same way that it has movies and music but itâs definitely going to get bigger as time goes on, MS havnt even started tapping into mobile yet with GP, nor have they even released CoD
Once casuals start seeing CoD in GP every year, I do feel itâs going to change some peoples thoughts on the value of ÂŁ70 going forward

That being said, visually itâs definitely improved quite a bit. Iâd play this since I never finished the first one. Capcom better not pull some weird shit and just release it for Xbox. No MvC/Mega Man/Ace bullshit.
