Didn’t realize we, as the gaming community, were a monolith - Sony’s own numbers show there are clearly a lot more people that don’t play/buy these games than do (look at Nintendo’s numbers, or half of the GaaS games Xbox launches that hit 20+ million).

DS2 looks phenomenal, I adored the first one. Stellar Blade looks pretty fun.
Aside from that, not much for me in that SoP. I generally have no interest in horror games, Ronin looked pretty rough, almost like a last gen Ubisoft game. Silent Hill 2 was… yikes.
2024 looking a little barren for PS first party.

I agree that Kojima needs to fix up those trailers. Once the title was shown that should’ve been it with maybe one more scene. lol

The last time Sony had a better showcase was the PS5 reveal, don’t think Sony’s first party has enough juice to outdo Xbox now tbh, lots of reliance on 3rd parties and timed exclusivity.

That was one mediocre show alright…Judas looks interesting and Dragon’s Dogma 2 looks great as always and that’s basically it, the Metro VR game isn’t even made by 4A Games (and isn’t exclusive on PSVR2) which is most likely working on a full fledged Metro sequel. SH2 doesn’t look and sound too hot either, hopefully it will be a decent remake.
Also did Sony and Kojima announce a game for PS6? with DS2 releasing next year I don’t see how this new game will release before 2030. lol

ya once the guys with the guitar started hitting the robots with it i was like wtf is going on. I tried the first game 4 times and couldnt get into it

Its definitely not for everyone.
I really appreciate the first game’s atmosphere (especially when the music kicks in). My biggest gripe with Death Stranding was how preachy it got toward the end, but that’s a discussion for another time.

Sales and player counts though directly express what content is successful… or put another way, what the community wants/likes. I’m simply saying that when you say “the gaming community*, you are treating the populace as a monolith and if that’s the case, the reality doesn’t align with this idea that “the gaming community” loved what was shown. You did, sure, and that’s absolutely fine… just representing your take as the community’s doesn’t align 
People can express/judge what they want here, and that’s what people are doing
