I can imagine that they wanted to shift the focus away from Solas to the main cast.
You have the Inquisitor in DA:I who was the main reason why the Inquisition could fight against the Breach. Now the MC lost the power you need your whole team to defend against the veil.

I assume this cost less than holding a venue back in E3 I guess. Still think they should have treated it like Gamescom. Oh well. At least Xbox FanFest carries it.

Those prices are ridiculous - no wonder he’s agreed to cut the stupid stuff out to fit more trailers in.
It does often feel like a show dedicated to his ego, his favourites and those with enough cash to be there (even if they seem a bit dodgy - I swear a few games shown have gone AWOL years later).
It’s way too long, now we know why I guess - it always feels a drag to me compared to the Xbox showcase although that might also be because Sony seems to be a preferred partner of his and he practically orgasms over a new peripheral or announcement they have…
