15th November 2024 release date, it’s been spotted in the blurb on the YouTube video, so maybe gameplay already?
AC Shadows 15th November 2024 is probably my holiday season sorted lol, with Game Pass and Xbox first party releases padding it out / providing distractions and palette cleansers - given Valhalla kept me going for weeks even when I didn’t like it that much, and Odyssey probably months
I guess it wouldn’t cost devs more to do day zero patches, but I wonder if anyone will even use the tech.
Guess it might allow them to queue patches up while waiting for Xbox approval?
We don’t know when patches are normally up/ready to go. Could be a day early, could be two, but any bit of extra time helps.

Oh sweet! I wasn’t necessarily expecting it this year, that’s great.
I say this while still having Origins and Oddysey in my backlog, barely played, lmao.
But it’s Japan, I’ve wanted AC to visit Japan for forever.

I’m ready to put 200 hours in Shadows

Just checked, this is the Monday edition so don’t need to subscribe or log in - in his GameFile article, Totilo details all the publishers talking about longer development times, less games and lay offs - and pointed out Nintendo actually started doing it first (releasing fewer bigger games that is):

Same. I gotta step up the backlogging a bit though… I still have the two major DLC’s for Odyssey, then Valhalla with all its DLC as well as Mirage. Shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours…

working on dlc for Valhalla right now - there’s a great scene between Eivor & Kassandra in it, accidentally crashing a wedding and getting drunk - hm guess that particular part is a title update not dlc. But still was fun enough.
Weren’t there rumblings for a while about a new IP from CoD studios? Is that it?
I’m guessing no. I recall AC Mirage having a cinematic trailer and then during their show they had gameplay. And the game released that same year.
But their showcase is soon, so it’s ok

Rumors have it, he was pushing for Japan Studio closure.
Hulst was a given, I don’t really have an impression about him. What I do remember is the video a while back that showed that he stores his PS5 upside down in his TV unit which went viral 
.
Interesting that they’ve gone for some Japanese management too, I wonder if that will drastically change things.
