I really need to upgrade my TV to support 40 and 120Hz modes, because I personally feel that 40 Hz mode would actually hit the sweet spot for me even though I am a frame rate fanboy. Iām also a fanboy of high fidelity visuals as well so 40hz might hit that sweet spot. Just I was deleting some captures and saw some of my starfield pics and just wanted to hop back in. This is perfect timing!
From my captures you can see why I wouldnāt jump into 60 FPS right away:

I suppose it is a long-term investment if you think about it. If there are future Elder Scrolls and Fallout titles based on this engine (likely yes to both), itās highly optimized.
I finally saw the update video and was so pumped to see empty habs available for starships. I seriously canāt wait to jump back inā¦and in just two weeks, too!

Absolutely!
Really wonder what they had to cut or change to get it to 60fps. Who knows, maybe the visual differences arenāt even that big. But if they are, 40fps is the sweet spot. Ideally this had been at launch, but that would have meant another delay too.
