XboxEra Community Hangout |OT12| The Dirty Dozen

I believe there’s a weird glitch where the game link sent you to the normal version, but once you click on Definitive version, you can select that. I know it shows the price, but once you click the link, it becomes Game Pass.

@Knottian I’m glad to see you back my friend ! I’m wishing you all the best moving forward, you can do it !

I would say it would make sense for Sony to consider an Xbox port. Seeing how things are moving forward, putting a successfull live-service game on every platform is a good decision.

Also I just finished Evil West. It is a nice game, even though I almost stopped it at the beginning, because of how bullet-spongy the enemies were . However, once you learn to use all the mechanics and weapons, it’s actually quite fun.

Yet another example to never ever treat insider stuff as gospel.

I’m guessing this would take quite a while. I don’t think Arrowhead has ever built an Xbox game before and they use an old discontinued engine. From a quick Google it looks like Darktide may be the only Xbox game released that uses the same engine and if I remember it had technical issues that delayed the Xbox release, didn’t it?

That’s true, it did get delayed.

Beat sea of stars. The first 60% of the game is kinda slow and I wasn’t feeling it. It then ramps up and gets good. Good characters good music weird pacing but a good rpg regardless. I don’t think it deserves that 90 meta but it’s still a good rpg and even though it’s a wrpg it’s better than any jrp Iv played in 20 years outside of ff16. The story felt very safe and friendly but then stuff happens and you relize it’s good and you actually like some of these characters. Heavy heavy inspired by chrono trigger. 7.5 /10. I hope there’s a part two. Combat is fun and they add characters to the point where it feels fresh. Made me laugh a few times

I think it’s the most overrated game I’ve played in a long time. Both MC are boring and their world is centered around the cook and the life as a solstice warrior. And it has zero character customization.

The story and the writing are not that good. It feels kinda mid.

Soundtrack is good especially when you are at Mesa Island because of The Messenger.

Crosscode and Chained Echoes are much better western JRPGs.

And Radiant Historia is a much better Chrono Trigger inspired Jrpg.

Honestly, I couldn’t agree more on every point… I desperately wanted to love it after all the hype, but in addition to all of those points, I feel like the constant reference to Secret of Mana (by both the devs and most media leading up to launch) were wholly disingenuous. The comparisons were off base from the onset due to the fact that SoM is an ARPG and not turn-based, and there’s little else I could argue would make any more valid similarities between the two… made me wonder how many of those people ever actually played the SNES game.

ya the music was good. especially when you get to a certain point and it changes tone. I understand all the critisams against this game. i dont get why the media choose to have this as thier baby but still glad i played it. i havnt played to many of these western jrpgs so im looking forward to it

I had no idea a re-release of Assault Suit Leynos 2 was on the way! This was released exclusively in Japan for the Sega Saturn back during 1997

Wow they really did screw the pooch, what awful names for the new public companies too!

  • Coffee Stain & Friends (CSF). And
  • Middle-Earth Enterprises & Friends (MEEF).

Now I’m even more annoyed they acquired CD & Eidos and they are stuck under MEEF!

If I was a company in CSF or MEEF I would also be really annoyed that my publisher is named after just one of them (Coffee Stain & Middle-Earth) and I’m just named a ‘friend’.

I think one thing it does guarantee is we will be getting lots of investment into the Middle-Earth IP.

I wouldn’t be surprised.

What worries me is how Amazon has dealt with their previous gaming ventures.
