I just started Fallout 76 for real last night and have pretty much been playing it ever since with just sleep in between. I played for a little bit previously and enjoyed the beginning of it, but bounced off pretty quick.
Taking a break at the moment. I dedicated myself to it and bought the 50% off month of Fallout 1st so that I could play in a private world for a while whist I did the missions and get some levels under my belt.

No, itâs not down to nostalgia. The first two games had good stories with strong and charismatic characters, which were additionally expanded upon in the early novels.
UGH. Give me Mad Max 2 or at least co-develop Rage 3 with Id. No interest in Just Cause.

Wow, itâs really that rough? What happened to it? Did they fly too close to the sun alas too much of CoD at home instead of mixing up to be similar but different.

I feel like Iâve seen it all before.
People playtesting the game say itâs rough, so all the fans are intrigued and begin the âOMG OMG, not buying it this yearâŚâ
Then the trailers are shown and they go : âoh wow, that looks way better than I thoughtâ.
Then they play the beta and say âthat it reminds them of older CODâ, whatever it is, because thereâs just so many games.
Those still on the fence look at streams and see that itâs COD and buy the most expensive edition on a whim. And Iâll probably be one of them.

Maybe Iâm being stupid here but why is Tom referring to it as a COD stress test? Isnât it a XDefiant stress test?

Itâs a joke. Remember, this game is heavily reference to CoD from style to gunplay to old devs to influencers headlining it and so on.

Still funny to think that at this point, COD is almost more of a template or a recipe for making a popular FPS than a franchise. You can copy it, it still wonât be the same as the original !
