Perhaps but then again, Remake had 5 years of hype behind it, a few teases of it being remade before it was actually announced that it was being remade for real. Perhaps the three part decision in the culprit but then again, outside of a few games, most games aren’t selling all that well anyway. Most of the best selling games are the live service games because people just stick with them for months/years on end.
Yeah, true but at the same time, the numbers aren’t the same for the consoles so no one can say without a doubt that half the install base hasn’t affected the game’s sales.
Either way, as long as I get part three by Spring 2028, I will be very happy. Sales wise, that’s Square’s problem. lol
Can’t lie, id like to see all these publishers making these deals regret their decisions :0 It’s probably petty, but I spent enough on my PC that I’m not trying to play things at 720p or 30fps on console when the games should be on PC Day 1.
People fell off rebirth because in my opinion many people played remake and relized it just wasnt a very good game. the original 7 is one of my favorite games of all time and outside of graphics thevoicework was bad. the combat wasnt as good imo. I even think while the music has its highs its worse than the original. so most people wont buy rebirth despite all the trolls for sony thinking its the best thing ever. if the game was multiplat there wouldnt be as much buzz for it imo
So two games that are made by the same people and chose to be on the same ecosystem closed off econsistent mind you and it’s not a fair comparison. Jesus Christ that logic
The anniversary jubilee event is going on right now for the next 9 days. It’s a good way to get some stuff in the game (mostly crafting motifs), while getting back into the swing of things.
Just if you’re not a ESO+ subscriber, you should be ready to manage your inventory.
People also ignore the implications of the restricted release strategy up until now. Would releasing a FF remake or title on Xbox save the sales of a low performing release? Doubt it.
But the reason I don’t buy these games is because they typically arrive late, perform worse, release at full price even if they come late, and there is no consistency around if future titles will release.
So even if you have a passing interest in some of these franchises there’s really no reason to buy them on Xbox even when they do dip their toes into the platform on occasion.
If for the last 20 years these games have been consistently releasing a good quality product on Xbox they might not have the problem of the platform audience showing little interest in the franchise.
We should be getting a lot more information and footage of the next Dragon Age soon now. May or June is what Bioware said if I’m not mistaken. Anyone excited?
I’m curious about it, but a good Bioware game has been a long time ago, not excited yet.
Speaking of Square are they ever going to announce Octopath 2 xbox release date? It seems odd we haven’t heard much about the xbox release date. The game is very good
I’m interested in the next Dragon Age game. They said that they would show it in the summer. I can see there being a chance that it’s shown during the Xbox Games Showcase. If not, then either Keighley’s Summer Game Fest or EA will have their own showcase for it.
