You know, in case Ronin disappointed you.

Was it deleted?

No, it’s still there. Don’t know why it’s like that with some post, even with Nick.

It is the same deal as other Capcom games basically. Like purchasable Blue Orbs in DMC5. The game is obviously -not- built with the MTX in mind, they are something tacked on top of the game.

I do hope this makes them not ā€œhideā€ MTX from players (I know reviewers were informed) but there’s clearly spring boarding off the performance issues to make the game seem super controversial. We already got content farmers like Yongyea lying saying reviewers were -not- informed about the MTX lmao.

That’s so strange because you can directly purchase ESO subscription.

Same Im a bit dissapointed with CAPCOM. To shadowdrop (lol) MTX after the launch of the game seems really ugly to me.

But thats the thing, maybe they knew about the MTX in the game but us didnt. I was surprised when I saw the steam store bombarded with those things when CAPCOM didnt say anything about that.

I talked about the MTX in my review, this entire situation is so weird. They’re severely limited, and nothing is locked behind a paywall. Almost all of the initial information about these MTX was wrong. Reviewers were told, you can earn all of it in-game, there is no pay to re-roll. You can only buy a small number of mtx overall and it cannot break the games progression in any way.

They gave us this image alongside review guides/codes. This is no different than anything they’ve done. You can buy a single Portcrystal for $3 or spend 10k gold in game and get a few more. They are not how you fast travel, those are Ferrycrystals, the portcrystal just lets you set one more anchor spot for fast travel. Again, this entire situation is massively overblown due to incorrect/mis-information

Remember Dead Space reveal with developers? If they say no MTX, then there’s none. Otherwise, ALWAYS expect one. Sad reality.

Yeah, in DD2 case maybe things are getting overblown bit to me its a bit shady how they didn’t mention anything at all until the game unlocked. But oh well…

GT7 was worse since it wasn’t part of the review guideline. Here, they got the notice. Still, when it comes to expecting a game to have one, always expect one and be shocked when it doesn’t.

I actually forgot about it. Sony waited 1-2 month after realse when they added MTX. Was there any major backlash at the time ?

I thought it was added on the release day. There were backlashes from fans. Metacritic user score still reflects that.

GT7s was worse because they deliberately hid them unlike Capcom but not only that, the MTX were also badly implemented, costs of cars/how long it would take to earn money to buy cars at the start was bad so it encouraged you to buy MTX instead

They eventually made changes to the money so it wasn’t as bad but on launch it was clear what they were trying to do

Honestly I’m not too sure about when they added MTX so maybe I’m wrong.

Either way mtx day 1 or later people are always mad when they see mtx.

We have a small moderation team and things can fall through the cracks. I’d just like to reiterate the point that personal attacks on people in the games/coverage industry are not allowed. Critique the opinion and not the person.

Starting to see why the change of leadership happened and from the look of it, I’ll read more soon, it sounds like it’s getting Halo Infinite ā€œrefocusā€ moment now. If it does work, then yet another turnaround under Xbox though this one would be ā€œwhat happens when you have a new leader under a new leader.ā€

Remember when we had a PVE game with heroes around OW launch and no one played it? OW not having PVE is like Karma at this point.
