… MTX in my review, this entire situation is so weird. They’re severely limited, and nothing is locked behind a paywall. Almost all of the initial information about these MTX was wrong. Reviewers were told, you can earn all of it in-game, there is no pay to re-roll. You can only buy a small number of mtx overall and it cannot break the games progression in any way. image1920×1084 214 KB They gave us this image alongside review guides/codes. This is no different than anything they’ve done. You can buy a single Portcrystal for $3 or spend 10k gold in game and get a few more. They are not how you fast travel, those are Ferrycrystals, the portcrystal just lets you set one more anchor spot for fast travel. Again, this entire situation is massively overblown due to incorrect/mis-information

After reading more yeah it appears the only real bad thing is paying for a new character and everything else is just the same kind of stuff all Capcom games have been having just fine.

There is no “paying for a new character”. You can pay to edit your character’s appearance one time. You can also use easily earned in-game currency to do this whenever you want. You do not pay to “re-roll” your character

All major Rockstar games have had a year delay since GTA 4 at least. GTA 6 slipping into 2026 would not be shocking the slightest.

Yeah and considering dev timelines for games these days, early 2025 was always very optimistic

Yeah and considering dev timelines for games these days, early 2025 was always very optimistic

I mean it was hopium because they didn’t say it themselves, and Rockstar’s initial release dates tend to be late in the year, but with delays they then release early in the next year. Could be the same with this.

I dunno, early 2025 sure sounds far away but it’s one year at this stage - it’s not impossible and some level of delays seems realistic, but doubling their estimated remaining development time at this stage seems strange.

Seriously, go read that Kotaku article and realize that yesterday their EIC quit over the “new direction” the site is being forced into. I put zero stock into this “reporting”
