I’m reading that Rebirth apparently isn’t selling too great. I wonder when SE is gonna realise that this…isn’t the way. I mean Xbox sales won’t set the world on fire, but I’m sure it would help.

I think it’s probably more not releasing on PC Day and Date in 2024. Had they released day and date they would have done very well.
If I was Square I would be finding anyway I can to get out of that exclusivity contract.

As far as we know Sega/Atlus are happy enough with the Xbox sales to justify the expenses of Xbox ports, even if FF7R sold like 1 million copies at full price on Xbox that’s still pretty good and not a number that can be easily dismissed plus you built a fanbase…of course that would mean that SE would’ve been smart enough to built a fanbase of the IP on Xbox throughout the years (like Sega did with Yakuza) but that ship has sailed I guess.
Oh well…we have Infinite Wealth, Unicorn Overlord and Persona 3 Reload right now ready to be played on Xbox (and all 3 are awesome games too!) and Dragon’s Dogma 2 is coming in two weeks, I think we will survive without Rebirth.

Maybe there will be some changes now with the new CEO there, but I’m not holding my breath.
SE is a weird ass company with their crazy expectations for certain games when it comes to sales.

Feels like most of their expectations are carried over from PS4 era and artificially pumped up by ethic department/consultation groups.

They had some FF drops on Gamepass in the past. If Squeenix brought the FF Collection to Xbox we’d have everything minus FF16 and Remake/Rebirth. Pretty sure putting it all back on Gamepass and then announcing 16 with more coming could slowly build up the hype like Sega did for Yakuza.
When SE announced all FF games coming to Gamepass (at an XO event I believe) the hype was building up and it’s a shame they didn’t do more with it back then, but it doesn’t mean they couldn’t try again. Pretty sure MS would be more than happy to help them with the social networking push/marketing as well.

I reinstalled it today so I can see if it still holds up. Spoilers : it does.
It would be cool if they could rerelease it on everything with crossplatform. There’s something to this game that TF2 lacks even though TF2 is still the more finished product.

Nope, my memory was failing me, lol.
We’ve been looking at various new TV units lately and sometimes I really wish Xbox went with the VCR type design they had for the Series X dev kit (it also had a much faster SSD than the one we have now).

Yeah TF2 lacked the excellent Multiplayer of the original to go with that A+ single player campaign. If they could just combine the two…

It was released year one for Xbox One. It was MP only, but the MP was amazing and so much better than the MP in TFall 2. The first 3 years for Xbox One was very good

I hope Battlefront collection does well, with it not launching on GP I wonder if it’ll die within a couple of months.
