You got to fumble really bad when you have Game Pass to cover you yet you struggled. What’s even worse is that the franchise is popular, so you do the math.

If anyone wants a rundown

  • Server issues for first month, basically unplayable, no offline mode

  • Most of the game changes (can only get XP from challenges, crap armor system) are viewed as negative by the community, devs insist on them

  • Most players quit. They hastily recycle the PD2 meth lab mission to try to bring people back, doesn’t work

  • Drop a ~$20 DLC heist pack with less content than PD2’s $7 heist packs. By this point PD2 had also had multiple free heists and seasonal events. PD3’s only free heist is the above recycled heist.

  • Game is around 100 players average at this point, they announce “Operation Medic Bag”, where they claim they will patch the game in the way the community wants them to

  • Massive highlight of patch 1 of Operation Medic Bag is an unready button for lobbies

  • We are now here

It’s only used for some extra on already existed games that is mainly for live service like PSO, FO76, and others.

Yeah, but still a gimmick. It’s nothing major. Most of the time it’s something like skins or crates. This time it’s the whole expansion pass.
