So far it seems for the first half of this year that Sony has the better third party exclusive deals while MS actually has first party offerings and promising ones too.
People can joke about Sony all they want, but they have always some cover, being it 3rd party moneyhats and/or media covering for it. They will be more and more ruthless in the coming years, considering ABK deal is a direct hit to their interests.
How is it really though. Nothing is changing for them outside of marketing rights. the people who play cod on playstation are still gonna play cod on playstation
COD marketing is a huge deal, or at least itâs always been since 360 days, maybe MS will dwindle down it (like they did for Bethesda marketing), but for the casual, seeing COD with Xbox logo and GP marketing means less money for Sony 100%, some people will jump, itâs too convenient.
Also, no more direct branding with most Activision properties (Crash, Spyro, etc) like the last decade.
Well, they didnât just have marketing, COD on PS had exclusive content and other benefits.
That seems to be the trend on Twitter right now:

And you thought Bayonetta wasnât subtle.
Miles!!!
Putting aside the the game actually did look really good to me though! I had concerns if it was smoke and mirrors because the devâs inexperience with a big console game but it looked quite a lot more expansive than I thought.
I wouldnât be surprised if Stellar Blade will be a low key hit. Lots of horny gamers out there lol
well playstation guys like that pornhub app
Seeing Rise of Ronin, I can understand the graphic is a bit of a turn off. I believe GoT likely spoiled them. That said I think the gameplay will carry them.
Itâs literally Nioh 4, while Wolong was Nioh 3.
I have to play wo long. im assuming its leaving gamepass at the end of march
I have to say, it is a bit odd to showcase Dragon Dogma 2 in the same space as Ronin with same release date and all. Almost to say, âOkay you may not be impressed so hereâs the one youâll like for sure.â
A reminder that Koei is hoping for 5M sales lifetime which Nioh nor Wo Long has hit. They have very tight Sony marketing this time but Iâm seeing multiple people (not just here) saying âEhh, Iâll waitâ or âWow what are these graphicsâ. Even I jumped off to wait for a sale on PC.
They seem to be targeting the Tsushima or AC players but the graphics may be a hold-back here.
In general, the State of Play was a B-. Really good overall show with a few first party titles, a few live service games, a few indies and several third party games and a brilliant next generation announcement of a new IP from Kojima that sounds like it will be a Metal Gear Solid type game. Looking forward to seeing it get revealed during the PlayStation Showcase in June 2028 with a release of Fall 2030.
A separate State of Play for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth next Tuesday is a surprise as I was expecting a trailer here and thatâs it. But looking forward to it.
For me personally, excluding VR and the Until Dawn remaster, of the 13 games shown, I got 2 of them (15%) which are Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade. Ronin looks good and itâs Team Ninja so no worries with them. Blade looks great and is more Nier Automata than what I was expecting which was DMC/Bayonetta.
The main thing I wanted was a release date for Stellar Blade which I got and is set for April 26th. February through May is booked for me!!
Regarding Palworld, Microsoft should lock it down as an Xbox console exclusive if they can.
Well itâs going to be in early access for a while, so thatâs a safe bet in the meantime.
lock it up for 2 years is what I say
Looking at roadmap, 2024 is a lock, most likely more. Obviously, if the game keeps staying on top of the world for months and months, I guess some serious talks should happen, you can possibly steal a significant stake of Pokémon thunder from Nintendo.
