Sea of Thieves is in live service continuance mode. Iâd imagine the majority of the studio is on Everwild and prototyping the next game after that.
Sea of Thieves is 5 + years old.
Of course there is a time Rare will begin to free more devs to work on other games. But for now, SoT is far from being abandonned, just that Season 10 has been delayed due to ambition.
I prefer seeing Everwild sooner that Sea of Thieves still being the focus of the studio.

Not impossible to be honest, I think we will get some good stuff. I was thinking about the trademark for UNSEENâs new game ( I always forget the name of the studio founder, she left Tango ) and I remember a rumour that she could have a partnership with Global Publishing for their game.
What if they announced her studioâs game during Xbox TGS ? They could also talk more about Kojimaâs new game as well. Maybe a release date for BG3 as well.

Now Mihoyo games are saying only temp console exclusive. We know Genshin was supposed to be on Switch but it didnât happen. Switch 2 ports? And, well, we know MS âregrettedâ missing on Mihoyo stuff.

Yâknow, I work with LLMs (Large Language Model AI) all day and it got me thinking: Why has no one built a âDungeon Masterâ chatbot yet? It would essentially be a text based adventure game but ever changing. Just make a D&D, Pathfinder, Star Wars etc. character and let the LLM do its thing.

Just learned about the Unity situation and wow. Do you guys think the will go back or they will go ahead without caring? Dont know who to believe neither much about the tool but Iâve seen some people saying Unityâs new policies could very well take down (with them?) a big part of the indie market.
I would also like to know what will companies like Mihoyo, Niantic, Sony, MicrosoftâŚetc will do.
I would literally be willing to pay unity the $0.20 per unity game Iâve ever owned simply to be in the room when unity meet up with apple and Microsoftâs lawyers to try and get their money.

Doesnât seem like they will stop, specially because part of their plan is to charge Microsoft and Sony for all downloads done through Game Pass and PS+.

I hope every game dies the same way Sea of Thieves does. Imagine all these Monkey Island collaborations in State of Decay, Forza or Halo 
Look at their financials. Operating income is minus hundreds of millions of dollars every year and its getting worse. They will not change course, they need every cent. And this will kill Unity (even if they change course, trust is broken).
Its sad but RIP Unity.
