Square having a rare W is making me fade away.

Yeah, it’s crazy.

I wonder when in 2024 this releases. If it had been early 2024 I bet it would have said so. It looks great, will buy!

I’ll say early summer or late spring.

I can remember when fans would parrot influential writers and bloggers, now it often feels like the other way around. I first noticed a shift in 2010 with Final Fantasy XIII: great early reviews, then it released and the fan reaction was mixed/negative, and the media suddenly seemed to forget how they had mostly loved the game.

This is awkward…

It’s been demonstrated that Xbox gamers buy Square games nearly as much as PlayStation gamers, as a percentage of the user base.

So the issue being that the userbase being much smaller on the Xbox. But they buy Square games at the same rate (often less but sometimes more depending on the game).

This console war is just nonsense. That said I sure wouldn’t like if those Square titles arrive to Xbox…

Really enjoying BG3 so far, damn.

You wouldn’t mind it, you mean?

Looking forward to trying it out, I can’t justify $70 though.

lol BG3 is still missing endings/content. I’ll wait to finish my playthrough 3 updates from now.

This was posted in the Blade thread. I liked the question, but thought it fit better over here.

The first thing that comes to mind (and I know it’d never happen) is a Firefly game with the same sensibilities as the Guardians of the Galaxy Game. I love the characters and universe of the former, and really enjoyed the humour and gameplay of the latter. Although I’d for sure prefer the original cast.

To answer with something that could at least conceivably happen, I’ve gotta go with The Boys. Although maybe that’s a stretch too, not really sure if Amazon has the rights or not. Seems likely that they would, but I know Sony’s rights to Spider-Man didn’t include the game rights originally.

Anyway, I read The Boys comic books first before watching the show, so I have no particular desire for it to be the original show cast, but I think gameplay-wise it could be a blast. Lots of R rated humour and violence.

Not sure if you get notified when replied to like this, @nursegamer20, so thought I’d tag you this way instead.

Curious to see how this pans out when I play it.

Final Fantasy XII is one of my favorite games ever and it noticeably runs out of steam in the late game and then ends abruptly, as if the devs ran out of time to flesh out the story content and cutscenes in the last act.

Larian seems pretty dedicated to finishing the game, so I’m sure they will have added some substantial content to the final act in a couple of months, so I think it’s worth the wait if you’re not dying to play.

(I’ve been playing this game in some form for the last three years…)

It’s all good, it is a better fit here lol. One game I would like to see is a magical combat heavy Dr. Strange game from any Xbox studios lol

I like the question about what other IP wed want Microsoft to get into. My answer has never wavered. I want a huge Stargate game that uses the portals into all kinds of worlds. Dream game!

What’s the best SSD for cold storage for Series X? I’m fine with transferring game, I just want the fastest speed for that sort of thing.
