Works for me. Once in a while a massive game is a welcome experience, but the vast majority of the time 15-25 hours is the sweet spot for me.
I would take it with a pinch of salt as Drake star are M&A advisor for the tech industry. The companies that will still be involved in bigger sized M&A in gaming will be companies that are cash rich like tencent, the saavy group and big tech if they get involved. Interest rates are the highest theyāve been for fifteen years which will put off most companies that need debt to finance their deals

This will very likely be a day one for me. Canāt wait to see how this looks and plays. I miss these action games so much, especially bullet time. Itās just so awesome, loved it in 3 even more probably.
Never played the first two but the combat in three was fantastic. I wonder if they might make a proper sequel as well because Rockstar certainly arenāt going to.
Oh man, Iād love that! But 3 does kind of end in a way where it makes sense that this is the end of the story. But Iām sure if they want they can make it make sense.
If this is true, no dock, wireless connection to the TV. I guess thatās like casting from a phone or tablet? I donāt like that idea.
You have to remedy that. MP 1 and 2 are BC. Just do it.
They are kind of old but they are cult classics. You should try them at least.
Going off what your wrote there, that sounds like theyāre repeating what Nick said on the XboxEra Podcast RumorMill segment a couple weeks back. But the translated tweet has some different claims than what the rumor Nick heard:
The next model for Switch is Nintendo Super Play (pseudonym) Play with game chips like a switch It has the same button structure as the Super Famicom. It will maintain the existing concept of being able to play inside and outside the home, but will not use a dock like the Switch.
Thatās interesting. Kinda sounds like they bring it as a new rumor, without giving credit to Nick, right?
I also find it interesting if they are sticking to cartridges, wonāt this limit themselves when it comes to some huge games? Itās kinda nuts CDPR was able to fit Witcher 3 on one, but how will a CoD fit on it?
Or are there actually cartridges that can hold 100+GB?
Could be the same source releasing info through a different person or avenue.
I find the entire cart thing odd. Mostly the price differential between the typical storage capacity version and the next larger size. That lead to a few releases that forced an online patch since the entire game canāt fit on the cart. It wasnt financially prudent for them to use the larger storage cart.
Maybe they still have ācartsā but the actual storage mechanism inside them changes to be way all the other mobile devices use (SD). They need something that isnt as much of a choking hazard. Though if they switch over, maybe theyād have to support an āinstall to consoleā mechanism like the PS360 era used.
Yeah, itās certainly gonna be very interesting to find out what they will end up with. All these rumors and still not a peep from Nintendo themselves. Iām fully expecting the power to be nothing special compared to what Sony and MS have now, but if they can come with something that will at least do games such as Zelda justice on a big screen TVā¦i will be OK with that. For a game like Mario Wonder the Switch is fine, but when it comes to big open world titles, or hell, even Bayonetta 3ā¦itās absolutely not enough.

Why would size matter? Theyāll just make it so you download the rest via the internet like the rest of us have been doing for years
Expect something similar to the Steam Deck, Nintendo donāt take losses on hardware so that severely limits what they will put in this thing
Not to mention battery life, things like the ROG Ally can get away with shorter battery life but Nintendo will get much more scrutiny if they have a battery life that barely lasts a couple of hours which if the thing is powerful, is whatās going to happen so again, expect lower power
Ah yes, I did not think of that about downloading the rest from the Internet. But what if someone doesnāt have Internet? I can see the headlines already, or maybe not at all since itās Nintendo, lol. Or does Switch already have a few games like that? I barely use mine, Iāve no idea.
Oh man, how I wish hybrid wouldnāt be a thing for them. Just make a great home console and leave it at that. Iāve used my Switch exactly zero times portable. The rumors have been that power wise it will be Xbox One - PS4. But apparently things like DLSS will go a long way. Whatever the case may be, I just hope big open world titles such as Zelda will at least look decent on a big screen TV. I just hope the jump in power will at least be that. Have some decent textures, way less flickering shadows and less aliasing please.
Imagine Tears of the Kingdom on PS5 or Series X hardware.
Thereās many games on Switch like that. Most times if itās something like, Mortal Kombat 1 or something big, it can be excused. You do see fires start around it when itās something like Star Ocean 2 Remake (yes it apparently is requiring a download on Switch) though.
Amazingly, CDPR did not require a download on Witcher 3 Switch. CDPR used a 32gb cartridge (expensive!) for that release and did not tax the consumers in any way on it.
Itās a factor in keeping the JP market on lock for them (not to mention the hybrid model is just popular worldwide), which is one of their most important regions. I donāt see them moving away from it unless trends change there.
Itās 2023, anyone buying a console without internet access is buying a paperweight, MGS collection just shipped and afaik, not a single game is on the physical cart, itās all download
Those that still have a slow connection or data caps it sucks but even they will still buy so itās not going to effect the companies revenue
I do sympathise with Nintendo users because I donāt trust Nintendo whatsoever with anything to do with online services
The boss fights on the sea with the ship combat.
