Would it cause an issue with the FTC?
I can see Iger hesitancy in entering gaming. They canât just slap their IPâs into a mediocre product and print money like they can in the movie business. I mean, with the Avengers game flop it is clear that literally any IP can flop in gaming if the game is bad enough.
and also it takes a while for games to come out and they are definitely not like a movie or tv show with quick turn arounds
He isnât wrong.
OrâŚâŚ maybe just revive Disney Interactive and have reasonably sized teams with Reasonable budgets. You get the best of both
Funny thing if you pull up PlayStation steam numbers and youâll see it ainât that hot. Steam numbers are nice but doesnât tell the whole story when thereâs pc gamepass
Yeah probably. Spider-Man and Wolverine are the only future first party games from Sony that gamers are looking forward to.
Basically take this meme:
but subtract Spiderman . If Disney pulls itâs exclusive license from Sony Iâm sure an army of Sony âfansâ will cry to the CMA and FTC to help save PlayStation.
God the meltdowns will be insane

Donât do this to me!
Please donât be fake!
Disney has 12 billion in cash on hand they owe Comcast 9 billion if anyone is buying EA it will be Comcast
PahâŚyou underestimate the demand for a Sequel to Fuse/Overstrike
Remember that?
Great game, I liked it a lot.
A new GH could actually work. There are essentially no rhythm games right now so it would have the market to itself. It is also one of the single digit number of franchises who would benefit from being GAAS. Nobody wants to buy a new 140 dollar game and terrible plastic guitar every year. Thatâs why the genre died. But sell the game (or hell, make the base game free) and then sell genre and band themed expansions every few monthsâŚmaybe with some kind of subscription pass where you get all the songs. That could work. Release a new instrument periodically, sell story mode expansions. Make that shit cross play and cross buy so anyone can play with anyone. Take advantage of streaming and give players the ability to set up virtual rock shows and stream them on twitch.
Was reading the thread on Reddit with all the future projects and got to the hardware stuff, noticed that the new digital XSX has PD via the USBC front port and it had me wondering I wonder if this is gonna allow support for VR for stuff like Quest 3.
Why? Iâm pretty sure it wonât happen or atleast not till Disney have started selling off some of the assets theyâve targeted for sales like their TV division, but itâs a vertical merger where they would be using EA to make games of their valuable IP. Itâs not like they have any studios under their umbrella at the moment
Wow, pretty !
