Starfield is now at #5 USA most played. Beaten by Siege (I blame Master Chief) and Roblox (it’s Roblox). No shame to that. It’s over a month and held this long is no easy feat.
Gotham Knights remains at #11.
Darktide is now at #14.
Halo Infinite is back in 20s (#28). The hype for Season 5 is going to boost them or at least preserve it’s position in the midst of new releases.
They had back-to-back one step forward, two step backward. First the new digital console design, now this. It’s like they had it all and then they blew it.
I really hate that Microsoft has seemingly just gave up on improving xCloud. How did Sony beat you to selectable resolutions, HDR, surround sound? Streaming of your library was announced over a year ago and it’s been radio silent ever since.
Give them a break they had regulator almost handicapping the future of their console segment just because they had a minuscule share in the cloud market . I’m sure they will go to invest in this area once the ABK deal goes through.
Sony has been in cloud streaming since 2012. It’s more embarrassing that they have done nothing in that time until now.
As for Cloud, well MS has made statements in court that it has not caught on and is more expensive to the point of losing money every time someone streams. And then the entire CMA cloud concern happened. So its to be expected that MS have backed away from further costs there.
I think we should wait and see how Playstation streaming actually performs before we give them a pat on the back. Their previous streaming attempts weren’t super great. Also, it’s console only at this point.
Why do I have to wait and see if Sony’s implementation is bad before questioning why Microsoft hasn’t made any significant QOL improvements since adding touch control support in 2021? Sony could have done a dog shit job of adding those features, they’re still nice features I want Microsoft to add.
The wait and see was in relation to giving kudos to Sony for something Xbox seemingly hasn’t done yet. If you’re upset that MS hasn’t done QoL improvements to xCloud, that’s fine. But using Sony’s single point of entry approach (that we still don’t know will work properly or not), and comparing that to what MS is trying to do seems a bit weird to me.
The entire premise of your original comment seems presumptuous as well. We have absolutely no idea what they are or are not working on with xCloud, which is still technically in beta. But by all means, throw a temper tantrum.
