… 2 for Xbox is already confirmed to be temporal (and MS doesn’t change the cards after the initial deal like Sony), Ark 2 is the same and Kotor remake is dead (the korean game PS bought is like a ID@Xbox game, nobody cares). FF7R is out there since almost 4 year, I’d say any possible exclusivity window is gone and the ceo changed, now it’s time. It’s no MMORPG, so the port is an easy task, they only have to choose the right moment to announce it. FF16 still has one DLC to release and I suspect Sony timed its exclusive until everything about the game is done. Outside left field theories, FF is the biggest controversy you can find about games realistically coming to Xbox, even if you don’t like the genre. Some “fans” of the franchise are going to cry about an Xbox port for sure, yes, they are.

Ronin is akin to how Microsoft game studios publishing works. It’s a first party title developed by a third party gave studio. It will never come to Xbox unless Sony has a say in it.

It’s a situation like Rise of the Tomb Raider or Nioh, bought exclusive and publishing rights, but the IP stays with the contractor.

I doubt Nioh or Ronin would ever be on Xbox and it’s ok, at least this is not a moneyhat, the worst kind of exclusive, they took the burden of publishing, which is not free.

To be fair with how long some of their exclusivity arrangements are it gets to a point where it’s not worth porting it to other platforms as it’s old, superseded, has no hype or has been played by 90% of people who are going to play it anyway.

Even FF7R is close to that threshold, if it gets an Xbox port, it’s only because of the name and/or MS willing to pay for it.

Yep I think it’s nearly 3 years right? Normally when I see a game with 2 years exclusivity I pretty much consider that permanent.

Those shots look amazing and a far cry from what we saw in the GC footage last year. If this is all legit they have made huge improvements.

Then again, before GC we had similar shots, guess we’ll see.

So something odd happened on my console a few days ago : STALKER 2 just installed itself (pre-order files) on my Xbox even though I uninstalled it last year. I had pre-ordered it for a long time but it was cancelled due to the postponed release date. So my guess is that the devs are doing something from the backend and it reappeared as if I had pre-ordered it. It may be a sign that pre-orders will be live soon. I’m hoping for a march release. It feels like it’s getting closer now.

I don’t know, but I feel like we’re going to have the release date pretty soon. Everything is getting updated with the newer assets.
