Amazon still has 1 month for $13.82 and 3 months for $41.66 as well. I bought a few extra months to apply once I can add more to my existing subscription.

Since the âshowcaseâ really wasnât worthy of the name showcase, it was just a not so great State of Play. And thatâs exactly what this will be, another State of Play.
Iâm not sure what these people are expecting, again setting themselves up for disappointment. The studios they were waiting for just are not ready. Itâs hard to accept that Sony went hard into GaaS, for them.

Anyone already knows that Sony will have an event (probably State of Play) in September because they always do one near TGS.
And when it disappoints again (with Diofield tier games as I previously said their TGS State of Plays tend to be), there will just always perpetually be âanother one coming very soon.â

Well the most important thing is they had fun.
The reactions to each companies E3 equivalent have been amusing.
XBox has a great showcase: âWow, Starfield looks amazing!â
Nintendo has a great Direct: âDude, look at that new 2D MarioâŚand theyâre remaking Super Mario RPG!â
Sony has their showcase: âDonât worry, they have another showcase coming! Trust me bro.â

That game is one of the few times I saw a full green bar on Famitsu sales (it means the stores still have an absolute mountain of unsold stock of the game, thatâs bad because itâs gonna be difficult to get rid of those unless theyâre getting fired into bargain bins)
But eh, at least Nintendo released a bad game âgracefullyâ, I guess. Kept it off the Direct and the only âmarketingâ was the shadow announcement 1 month before release. I remember insiders who knew of the game saying that Nintendo internal teams were saying it should be cancelled. I guess Nintendo was hoping the casual market would grab onto it, but eShop charts suggest the game ainât selling much lol.

Iâm expecting a State of Play in late September with a few updates for games like Helldivers 2 (release date), Rise of the Ronin (release date), Stellar Blade (delay to 2024 announcement) and a story trailer for Spider Man 2. Also, a few Indies, maybe COD since Sony does have the marketing deal and probably another trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth if they can finalize the release date which im predicting will be late March 2024.
PlayStation Showcase wise, im not expecting another until September 2024.
Treated myself to a 1TB expansion card, so my Series S is now officially ready for Starfield and Forza Motorsport.
With Armored Core VI coming up as well, the next couple of months are going to be amazing.

Well now that we know the next generation starts in 2028. The clock is ticking for PlayStation to have an âE3 levelâ showcase in the next 4 years. My money is they wonât have one, just a bunch of small directs, nothing big, until itâs time to unveil PS6. 1-2 AAA first party games a year just isnât going to cut it for a big showcase. PlayStation fans should get used to small directs and lowered expectations.

Joking aside, I fully expect Sony to have at least 2 âE3 levelâ showcases in the next 4 years. But weâll see. Have a ways to go.

im not surprised about a 2nd ps showcase but i dont think it will be a SHOWCASE and is just a good state of play at the endo f the year to hype of 2024.

I just saw that controller-screen-thingy from Sony. I totally want one like that for Xbox. As a man living in a shared flat with limited room that would be perfect for me.
