Kind of easy to do when you’re just moving already existing users over. It’s like when Sony merge their subs and announced it’s bigger than game pass.

They didn’t just move the users though, or they would have a billion already.
You have to install the app and sign up. What worked well for them (other than Twitter’s blunders) is : Instagram’s brand name, using an already available Instagram account to sign in, and finding a list of people you follow in Instagram ready to be followed in Threads.
User numbers are big, but the type of users are much more interesting. Many popular brands and people are already in and have hundreds of thousands (some millions) of followers.

I think what’s important that at least 80% of the users aren’t bots. I think the app just needs a bit more time to cook, but it seems to be doing a decent job so far
Yes, they are missing some important features (like: search, following feed, hash tags, fediverse support) that they say they are working on.
The head also confirmed that they released it earlier than planned and wasn’t tested as much as usual to take advantage of the current situation, calling it “yolo launch”.
It’s still early, and we will see how they will deal with the platform’s challenges as it grows. But they couldn’t have asked for a better start.
We will see if twitter can recover or not, i’v mostly stopped using it the last month or two and feel like im not missing much

450 euros in my country. I am still debating myself, it looks like they just want to clear stock before the eventual launch of the revision because they don´t really need to lower prices.
Tom Henderson said the PS5 “Slim” with detachable disc-drive wouldn´t be so slim and I don´t think it will launch for less than 450, but I hate how big and ugly the current model is. I dunno…

Don’t think twitter can recover as long as it’s under Musk. It was bad a few weeks ago (hate speech, meaningless verification, any crazy guy with a subscription gets amplified, bugs), it’s became disastrous a few days ago (read limits, required log in), and if that wasn’t enough, now you got the worst competitor you can wish for openings their arms to your angry user base.
I also don’t like Meta’s platforms. Hopefully the fediverse support isn’t far away and we can follow Threads’ content from another platform.
I didn’t think the romance in Divinity 2 was exactly stellar, so I can see them going for the shock factor over actually writing something good.

Won’t happen imo, people say game pass is unsustainable but that’ll actually happen if they start to push the already low imo price down even more.
Yup same haha, I just stacked up 3 years at roughly $7.50 dollarydoos per month which is perfectly fine for me.

That would suck if it’s not significantly smaller, damn. Personally I’m still gonna wait. I am very busy with RDR2 and I expect I will be until Starfield comes out. I will be on that for a long time to come. I wouldn’t even be using the PS5 if I got it now.
Plus I can definitely use the money for more important things now. Depending on what this slim model actually will be, I might go for that or wait for the pro altogether.

To add onto this the dev said they were working on releasing it in more regions on PS but it’s been over a year since they’ve said that, and nothing’s changed.
I didn’t buy it but I kept it downloaded after it left Game Pass since I was planning to buy it if it were to go on sale at some point, but I went to it’s store page through it’s game card and it still says it’s unavailable. I don’t know if whatever problem there is will actually get fixed.
