Series X was sold out at Walmart last time I was there. Kind of bad timing with the showcase today. Hopefully Xbox fixes their manufacturing issues this year. If you look online you can find a series x but Xbox should also remember people impulsively shop at Walmart in person too.

There is some truth to it, itâs just unfortunately what happens when MSâs investments to Japan were close to 0 for almost 10 years and thus created a very long period where minimal JP games came to Xbox. It caused a minimal fanbase for this stuff on Xbox. Something major like Tales of Arise , Nier Automata found success on Xbox however, and thanks to heavy MS marketing the Persona ports have as well.
For the more niche titles, stuff like Atelier, Ys/Trails, etc, the developers tend to have Japan as their main market focus, so Xbox is left out. Although even these niche developers have been mentioning that their sales have become more impressive in the West lately so there is something of a window there (just a reminder that Koei was mentioning Game Pass on Atelier surveys).
It will take some time but if MS can continue to market major content like Persona and utilize GP they can undue the damage they did with the low investment years. Theyâll never reach a point where absolutely nothing skips them but they can reach a respectable level.
It is also on PS4 although Iâm not sure how much that will help it. To be fair the game that itâs âinspiredâ from was massively successful on just the Switch alone, but Iâm not so certain that PS has the same audience Switch has to create that success.
Itâs not an internal Square game, the developer is Toylogic who made Nier Replicant remake. That game was on PC though so it does make you scratch your head why itâs skipping PC.

I hope it is. They made The Division 1 and 2, I quite enjoyed 2. A singleplayer game from this team could be really good. Tomorrow weâll see it at Ubi.

Feel like the black 1 TB model just supplanting the white model at the same $299 price would have been a bigger hit for the holidays. Just a random aside.

512GB could go for $249 and the 1TB $299, on sale not just normal release pricing.
Feels weird tho cause now MS has to manage a supply chain for two different Series S units vs just clearing out the 512 model and replacing it with the 1TB model.
Itâs good to see that Ubisoft is about to make a comeback.
