Probably could use an update as some titles have released or received a date.
What a trash article. lol
âNot good enough!â
Most of them are.
Any third party multi-platform games that get shown during the PlayStation Showcase this Wednesday can be eliminated from being shown on the Xbox Games Showcase.
Should have been a reveal of a new Test Drive instead, smh.
In unrelated news, I picked up an OG Playstation yesterday and I just got confirmation that my AYN Odin Lite should be arriving in the next few hours. I canât wait to turn it into my portable emulation machine. Gaming is so good right now and I donât understand why everyone is so upset all the time.
Thatâs true. I just wonder what Xbox is going to do this time around. I can see them going for a (mostly) GP only show again. Last year had Diablo 4 in the show, maybe they were expecting to have that on the service assuming the deal wouldâve been closed, but it was one of the few that wonât end up on it.
But even if Sony wonât have AW2, I donât really see it at the Xbox show, because no way is that a GP day one release. I donât necessarily need a Gp only show, Iâd love to see big multiplats getting revealed here too and they can just mention whether or not itâll be on GP.
I remember how excited I was to watch the reveal.
Same here. I was in party chat with a whole lot of buddies and we were so crazy stoked. But then they announced the name and we were likeâŚXbox One, really? And the whole show itself was just not that great.
That E3 however was lovely.
If itâs a Game Pass only showcase for the second year in a row, then it will most likely be a bad showcase for me personally. 2022 was the lowest showcase for me from Xbox in the last decade. 23 games shown and out of those 23, only 4 are for me. Was 5 but I eliminated Diablo IV. Overall was 17%. Thatâs a horrible showcase.
I really hope Microsoft goes back to pre-2020 showcases in regards to format and what they show. Not every game shown needs to be on Game Pass. I like Game Pass but I know the vast majority of what goes on Game Pass day one simply arenât for me as theyâre mostly Indies and AA titles. Then add in the fact that a lot of them are souls/rogue likes and yeah, not for me.
Hoping they show some major AAA third party titles at the showcase but in all honesty, im not expecting any of these because after the last three Xbox showcases, they simply donât care about getting marketing deals so I know not to expect them until proven otherwise.
I ultimately watch for updates on exclusive games, it doesnât make a ton of difference to me whether a multi platform game makes an appearance at Sonyâs show, Microsoftâs show, Nintendoâs show, or their own show.
I look at it less as evaluation a show as a product, and more just information on future products.
Yeah itâs a bit of a shame they donât seem as interested in marketing deals for the heavy hitters from third parties, unless they can get them to drop said game day one on GP, but for the majority it isnât happening. Iâm sure Xbox is well aware that their customers also buy multiplatform games on their console, it really isnât only about GP. So I hope they do something with that.
Good thing is that we should be at least seeing more big games from XGS this time around.
Iâm not much of a fan of their big summer showcases being GP only either. In fact last year I tabbed out of the stream multiple times because of long stretches of games that just werenât exciting. MS should start doing Game Pass Directs throughout the year for games like these, and have big 3rd party stuff in the summer show (with some small stuff, but not entirely) on top of the first parties.
Hopefully that rumor of Persona 3 Remake being there is real because I sincerely doubt they got that day 1 GP (itâs probably even Segaâs first $70 game if theyâre going in that direction)
lmao they are going to show the games they paid to be on their service on the biggest stage, cmon now. at some point you you have to accept the direction xbox is going. if you dont enjoy the shows, thatâs fine. but itâs been years now, you should drop the unrealistic expectations.
Itâs kinda funny because we always talk about how bad Xbox is at marketing, but we want them to focus on marketing random third party games on their biggest stage rather than the games they should be promoting.
I just like watching the video game trailers, am very simple hooman
To be fair, Game Pass is a smaller part of the gaming experience on Xbox. I think some normal third party stuff goes a long way to lift the impressions of the show and the platform.
