Final Fantasy 1 was even ported to the Windows Phone back in the day and had achievements. Square Enix just sucks and I really have no idea what their problem is with making money.

Can’t be worse than the upcoming One Piece live action, from a technical fit perspective. Just need to have creative costumes for Minecraft.
It looks good for a golf game, better than 2K golf game but that is not no generation leap of anything.
It looks worse than many last gen games.
Gears 5, RDR2, TLOU2, Callisto, GOW, Forza 5, Forbidden West, AC Valahlla, Far Cry 6 are all last gen game just to name a few and they all look better than this golf game lol
The thing is does Microsoft have to make a handheld? Asus just announced their new handheld to compete with the steam deck but instead of running on proton it will run on windows 11 so all Microsoft’s games will work on it both as a download and on the cloud. Plus you can use gamepass on it, so they may well just do partnerships with hardware companies who make handhelds and take away all the risk

Also this makes it that games don’t need to run perfectly. Imagine the handheld is less powerful than a Series s and games has to run on it. It would limited the games by xbox.
Thus there is no guarantee something like Fable is supposed tu run on a handheld.

I’m definitely not against xbox making their own handheld but with the deck and seemingly a whole bunch of others preparing to take a stab at that market maybe they are better off just working with these third party companies with their game pass app
Doing it this way lets you get lots of benefits with very little to no downsides while making your own handheld comes with a lot of risks, costs, resources as well as a device they’d actually have to support unlike these third party ones
Try Loop Hero just hit Xbox, sorry in advance.

Overwatch 2 already reaching Season 4 despite launching 1 year later than Halo Infinite really highlights how 343 and MS fumbled by launching Infinite without a well thought Live-Service plan.

Overwatch had to, it’s a big reason why Overwatch 1 died a slow death, they didn’t have regular content. They increased their team size for Overwatch 2 massively.
Halo won’t have a new game to regain players and hype so it’s much harder job to have a healthy playerbase now.
