I don’t see how OverWatch is an example of Halo getting things wrong OverWatch two just doing the same thing OverWatch one did except it’s free now

Bond, Sarah Bond must be protected at all costs - when Phil inevitably retires, I feel like Sarah’s the only one currently at Xbox that can build on Phil’s trajectory.

They definitely fumbled but to be fair Overwatch 2 is at best a reworking of an already existing game while Halo was completely new on a new engine

Well… you’re ignoring the fact that Blizzard failed dramatically with their post-launch support of Overwatch 1 passed its first 18 months, so I would argue the 343 comparison is not only irrelevant but more than a bit misguided. I’ve long argued on the YHMAH podcast that I can happily provide a list of every initial attempt by devs to launch and support a service title that failed and Blizzard is absolutely no exception - the difference is Diablo 3 was released years prior and received far better support than OW1. So you could actually turn your quote on its head back at Blizzard for fumbling and not having the excuse that it’s their first major service title.

I really enjoyed it. I tend to like these types of games though, but I thought it was a lot of fun and with the added content it’ll take a while to “beat” it.

I mean Ubisoft has shown that they can make successful, modern FPS games (like Rainbow 6 Siege), so this game could end up being decent.
R6S is still doing well, right? I haven’t played since that one time I solo-queued and a 4-stack took turns team-killing me immediately at the start of every round (everyone gets 1 free team kill).
