Surely there will be timed exclusives, that’s standard for any Sony show. Especially for a big one.
I think they’d show Bungie if Bungie was ready to be shown, I don’t think their games being MP makes a difference. We actually don’t know for sure that any post-Destiny game will be MP though.
Hopefully they announce some PSVR2 games,l (and a price cut?). They can’t give up on it that quick, at least give it a try and get more games out.
Doubt they make a big deal about PC ports. That’s for press releases and state of play.
Doubt we see a PS5 Pro, but the slim is probably a no brainer at this point.
I expect the Sony show to be a big one. I’m sure they have a ton to show, since I feel like they’ve been pretty quiet first-party-wise. What even is there that’s announced at this point aside from Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine? And I guess their Last of Us multiplayer game.
I think we’ll see what some of these GaaS titles they have cooking look like, but it would be nice to see some single player stuff too. I’m still waiting for a great reason to get a PS5 here!
I never expected it to launch this year from the beginning 
Until I get a PS5 I will be dreading these big shows by them because leave it to them to lock up some big new, promising titles and the media…not a peep.

There should never be a good reason for one to get a PS5, if you do you are messing with the enemy, and we can’t have that here.
I’ll allow buying their games on PC, once they hit deep discounts on steam though. No less than 80% off.

That said, everyone has their breaking point. Even me who’s owned every PlayStation, even the weird ones like the PlayStation mini classic and the PlayStation TV (vita console) and the PlayStation TV (the actual tv that came with 3D glasses). I reached my breaking point this year and sold my PS5 (and used the GameStop credit to buy a PC). I’m going to play Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy 16 on PC. Nevertheless don’t criticize people for owning multiple systems, it’s a way of life for some of us OG gamers.

And if there was ever a time to get a 3DS it’s now Now that it’s well and truly in Nintendo’s rear view mirror they’re pretty easy to get homebrew running on them and fil up with games

I’ve been gaming for more than 30 years and owned multiple systems too. I’d actually say though if you are an OG gamer you most likely have kids like I do though, a job to pay the bill, and hopefully some time exercising to stay healthy and game longer, and all that takes a LOT of time out of your day to day life, meaning owning multiple systems actually makes less sense as you won’t have the time to actually enjoy them all.
I’ve stopped owning multiple systems after the 360/PS3/Wii gen, with my Wii U collecting dust and Switch mostly being played by the kids ( I must have less than 100 hours on mine for the whole gen). I can’t see myself going back to owning multiple 500$ systems that will barely get any use, I don’t think it’s reasonable to have a system on standby to play 1 or 2 games a year on, I have much better and responsible use for my money. I can get it all covered with an Xbox and a PC.

Playing Guardians of the Galaxy now. Man this game is full of detail. Highly detailed character models, very sharp overall. It’s 30fps in the RT and quality mode but it’s worth it. I love looking at these high quality looking assets.
Love that about the Starfield character models too, such a huge improvement over their previous games. Especially the suits and the little details on the helmet and everything. It sure beats those games where details on outfits are just textures.

Played that game on PC as I had just upgraded to an RTX 3080 at the time and it definitely is a looker and it’s a fun game to boot. Quite happy I got to play it thanks to Gamepass or I unfortunately would have skipped it.

- Yes. Sony will reveal timed/full console exclusives.
- I still believe that Bungie’s games will be exclusive to PlayStation but we’ll see. If multi-platform, I see them having their own little reveal/event and that’s if they’re even ready which I highly doubt.
- I do expect a PSVR 2 segment. Probably 5-10 minutes at most. If PSVR 2 is selling poorly, announcing a price cut during this showcase would be a smart move and if they can somehow manage to get that Half Life Alyx game on it, even smarter.
- No. They won’t announce PS5 Pro until Fall 2024 and that’s if it’s even real. I don’t expect any new hardware either. The “slim/disc attachment” model I see being revealed in September with a November release to coincide with Spider Man 2.
- If their PC ports can actually release day and date, then yes, they should. Trying to hold off on this when everyone with a brain in their head knows that they’re doing the same as Microsoft (just worse and years later) makes absolutely no sense especially for a console which like all consoles have a ceiling.
- Phase 2??? Is this the MCU??? LOL. This all depends on if their games are ready to be showcased.
