XboxEra Community Hangout |OT| Safe Space no longer required (Part 1)

Hmmm intrigued, but I probably play Yakuza Kiwami first and then I try Sekiro again. Hmmm or maybe ahhhhh decisions…

Yes, Aaron is a good person :green_heart:

When ?

(1) Jeff Grubb on Twitter: “@i_meir12 As far as I know, Microsoft will talk about Bethesda when that deal closes, but I wouldn’t even expect Starfield there (E3 if it’s ready) and then a presentation around E3.” / Twitter

In my opinion games journalism is dead. It’s all just a bunch of click bait titles to get you to view the page so they can get money from advertisers. Also, alot of the “journalists” are professional complainers who make issues out of none issues and whenever they get criticized they call us phobes and bigots. Another thing alot of them aren’t even real gamers and it is evident in how the articles are written and the reviews are done. I think its just a bit of time before big publishers skip them and only give review copies and things like that to regular people like youtubers who i think do a better job.

Ah damn I guess there goes any hope of getting a significant update on that game before E3.

I have to compliment Square on the pricing of Nier Replicant. Normally a full priced digital game costs 70€. Nier however costs 60€ even if it does not seem to be a lot. It does make a difference. I feel like they put a lot effort in the not remaster but not remake game. It does seem to sit somewhere between. Similar too Xenoblade Chronicles DE.

I listen to a lot of podcasts while hiking with my wife and something that seems to be “a thing” in many gaming communities are “game clubs”. They work a lot like book clubs where a game is chosen and the community plays it over the course of a month or whatever time frame.

Is this something that people on Xboxera would be interested in doing, with maybe a game per month? Games could be from GWG or GP to keep costs low for everyone to enable participation. I think it might be a fun way to bring the community together and create some fun discussion outside of what we go round and round about.

This is a damn good idea but you would have to find enough people all willing to play the same game.

If there’s enough interest, I can see about setting up a thread with a poll of say, 3 options. The community can vote on the game and whatever wins we play. I don’t want to put forth the effort unless there’s decent interest though, but glad to do it if there is.
