Xbox Series S OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED, $299, £249. 512 GB NVME SSD, 60% Smaller than XSX, 1440p up to 120 FPS, Ray-Tracing, All Digital and More

According to Jez Corden, this never happens (controlled leaks), but yeah, I have a hard time believing that.

It’ll be interesting to see if there is any tangible benefit right away once we get the sizes of crossgen games on Xbox Series X/S

Nah, this is 100% a case of marketing material being ready to go for weeks and uploaded on a server that people like WalkingCat can and will find.

I don’t believe this was a controlled leak, not considering the time it happened.

:joy:

Taking straight out of Sony tactic book. Sony always drop something interesting right after a big Xbox announcement. Let’s see how Sony will react to this bomb.

Oh jesus christ lol

Probably not. Intentional leaks usually get dropped to “insiders” via someone acting as source. It is a very controlled thing. This is more like MS was ready for their reveal and someone in the chain leaked it.

yeah, it’s what’s going into the xcloud servers was what i was going to say, too. the final piece of the puzzle so to speak.

@XboxP3 if you’re reading this, drop the multiplayer paywall on Xbox and you’ve just created a killer F2P/Game Pass system.

$379

Looks good.

The small size probably allows MS to save some dollars on the packaging cost I guess.

Ms had everything so perfectly lined up it’s just scary. I wonder if Corona didn’t happen how would all that be revealed.

Either way, props for them. They made a perfect strategy, tackling both the hard core with the strongest console in town, and the most accessible one. With Gamepass and all access it’s an insane proposition even.

Now let’s see how they market those babies up and if they manage to generate the hype they deserve.

Just imagine Halo Infinite as day one launch title

You can see how their strategy was to capture a perfect storm.

Price, power, games, accessibility… They would have nailed them all.

Such an insane amount of value for both consoles! Very high performance from the X for $500 and a easy jump in point to nextgen gaming at $300

lol. So true.

Plus excellent payment plans if you subscribe. In this Covid reality, I can see paying in installments really pay off for MS.
