The Wembley deal was what 2/3 years ago
I’ll give you the Luke littler but let’s not suggest they’ve marketed in the U.K. as heavily as they should have done

They literally on a campaign of every device is an Xbox. I’m sure They will still supply Xboxes to sell but maybe they are just not as into console like you’re all thinking. All this cloud initiative requires Xbox blades which might just be a reason for the short supply. I think like Jez says they may be spreading their selves to thin with trying to do so much so quickly.
This guy make some ragebaits against xbox, he did say before he has 100% sure cod wouldn’t come to game pass, so he’s pretty awful source (actually he is not an insider, he just repeat things that other insiders said before)
Also blamed blizzard for Concord failure
To be fair, no one worth their salt should be believing stuff on resetera or iconera for that matter. No offense but those places are not good for anybody, also word of warning NEVER go to anything anime related there, just don’t. If you think the gaming stuff is bad, well you might want to avoid that particular hobby there if you are smart. Mangahelper is a hundred times better.
Matt from Famiboards (he was also on GAF a long long time ago) confirmed the same thing. And it also aligns with Nate’s info (Halo MCC). It’s going to be great to play all those games on Switch 2.
It occurred to me now…
How can Switch 2 fit all those games or even game (COD)?
Ver Correct Let’s face it, sponsoring Litter would be peanuts and worst still was XBox didn’t look to run Xbox advertisements during breaks for the Darts tournament on SKY Sports
Half on the cart and you download the rest to storage I would imagine
I just realized that Xbox finally fixed their first half game releases issue for this year at least but when they went full third party lol, yeah I know Avowed and SoM won’t be on PS5 at launch and it’s only Doom but those three games is one great first half roster, good to see them finally having a great first half.
Xbox is in a interesting position. We know Satya doesn’t care for exclusives, and we actually saw “coming to PS5” in a Xbox stream, that’s new. But imagine if they didn’t go into this multiplatform direction, NG4 could maybe have been an exclusive, NG2B as well, Doom would have been as well. All the while with Sony badly struggling as they are doing now. Xbox really is keeping them afloat, so to speak.
But it’s fine with me. Despite what clowns are saying Xbox isn’t going anywhere, in fact they are doing damn well, they are still very much in the hardware business as well. So if going this direction keeps my favorite console brand in the game…let’s go!
Truth be told, doing exclusive for NG would do more harm than good as it will be limited to one and the series has been multiplatform for a while. Lastly, I can imagine this will make Xbox Publishing more attractive as it keeps the option for still releasing other platforms.
Completely forgot that the Developer Direct showed the PS5 logo for a few games and while it’s definitely a WTF moment, I believe that it’s the correct decision because when you’re saying everything is an Xbox, it makes sense to just rip the fucking band aid off and move forward.
I can admit that I would have preferred Microsoft to ride out this generation and next generation in the old school way to see what they could do but once they decided on not making COD exclusive (which I believe they could have done because the regulators concentrated on cloud more than any other aspect), there was really no reason to stay with the old school way as disappointing as that may or may not be depending on how you look at it.
With that said, I truly have no right or reason to complain. This generation, Microsoft has simply given me what I have wanted for over a decade. Single player focused games that are different genres and are of high quality. From Halo Infinite campaign to Starfield to Hi Fi Rush to BO 6 to Indy among others, they have surpassed every previous generation for me and barring some kind of massive screw ups, 2025 has the potential along with what I have already had the previous four years to give me more great games than all three previous generations combined.
Anyway, point being is that as long as Microsoft continues to publish great games that I want to play, they can go resurrect Ouya and release their games on that console too for all I care.
Just give me great games!! And in this regard, I have no complaints.
This. With the number of potential players they can reach now it might result in Xbox making more bets to fill out a calendar year and taking bigger swings with their tentpole releases. And all of that is coming to Game Pass with no signs of their commitment to that service slowing down.
Agreed. As I have said numerous times for years, before anything else, Game Pass is Microsoft’s primary direction as it allows them to do everything else that they want to do.
The old school way is dead, and has been for years. Also I think I might ask the committee to ban “rip the band aid off” as a phrase
In my prediction, Xbox will either move the console industry towards less exclusives over time, specifically the AAA games Sony and Microsoft develop that are very expensive and you will see some future Sony games be available post launch or at launch on Xbox as well like Xbox is currently doing but to a lesser extent than Xbox is or Xbox will just become a full third party with a PC storefront and Xcloud as a way to play their games outside of PC, PlayStation and Nintendo and no console hardware after next gen but I do still expect a whole new Xbox console generation with a handheld as an option this time instead of a weaker traditional console like Series S.
My hope is that this works out for them to be able to keep making hardware for years to come.
It has been dead only for Xbox, Sony still hasn’t even embraced releasing all of their flagships on PC the same day as PlayStation, I’m sure they’ll come around that eventually but what I want is for them to also release games on Xbox and for exclusivity to end, at least between Xbox and PlayStation, because it would be great but also would bring some hilarious reactions, that’s still a ways off though if ever, in the end the Bethesda purchase isn’t really going to impact them in any way, they’ll be getting the next Elder Scrolls at launch for sure.
Why is that the bar though? If you went back to say 2018 in the middle of Horizon and God of War and Ghost launching as PS4 only games, and you told people “in the year 2024 all Sony games come to PC, many come to PC day one, and various Sony first party franchises like MLB, Horizon, Death Stranding, Freedom Wars, and their big new service game from Bungie come to other consoles like Switch and Xbox”… Well, A. noone would believe you and B. it would be obvious that the old model is absolutely dead for Sony, regardless of what Xbox is doing.
Three major releases in the first half of the year, 1 is on other consoles and is a historically platform agnostic series (Doom is literally on everything…). Oh no, my Gamepass is… entirely incredible.
It’s funny how the trailers for dev direct games that listed PS5 as a platform are on the Xbox channel but the Playstation channel has a separate version with only their logo, just in case anyone thought Sony would soften on exclusivity or the image that gaming only exists on Playstation, they won’t lol.
It’s their loss. Exclusivity mainly benefits Nintendo and not the rest. For every series X sold Xbox loses $200 meaning they have to recoup the 200 somehow, PlayStation also sell at a loss the only exception is Nintendo. So, Nintendo exclusives at least benefit in profit from console sale as well as the hardware.
