Their response is “we’re putting out dozens of games over the next few years, and hundreds more into Game Pass. We’re pushing 3rd party support more than ever, and you will be inundated with titles to play, have fun!”
Huh, where is Halo on Nintendo and PS5 same for Flight Simulator? They did discuss this on the podcast. I mean no offense towards ya.
Honestly, i think it might happen, however i do think if Higher Ups do not say something to calm the masses shall we speak in that scenario then it will spell down the line for them, cause there is some genuine implications there that they would obviously have to respond one way or another. No offense Antonyo, you are a good person, its my opinion on the matter.
“calm the masses”, the actual masses don’t care. It’s “calm the hardcore” and you do that by putting out a ton of games on your platform into your subscription service.
I think it will be good to address their loyal Xbox base once more though. They are likely finding many new customers with this strategy but they shouldn’t forget who kept them in the market until now. It‘s still a big change, and even if MS doesn‘t care whether we buy their games on another platform in the future, it would still be a good move. I also think a more robust outlook on hardware plans should be a part of that communication.
Hmm, do you think they will accomplish that via acquisitions or partnerships? Also do you think Playstation ports some of their games this year alongside Nintendo? Given Nintendo seems like they are making some deal with Microsoft i can see it happening with one of their tittles maybe Bayonetta or something else.
Also i just think just gamepass alone is not really wise i think they need to market Play Anywhere alot more as the most important thing ever as i know for a fact that if people heard you can buy once and play anywhere you want will almost definetly make alot of waves if thought out right.
Why not both?
I think the rumoured XboxOS stuff will redefine Play Anywhere in a good way. If they pull it off, then all this console warring will look absolutely silly imo.
No surprise. I stated before when they announced the first handful of multiplatform games that it would be better to consider multiplatform xbox games to be the norm instead of the exception. Just expect every xbox game moving forward to be multiplatform.
As long as the games keep on launching day one on gamepass ultimate though, I am okay with that. I do think though Microsoft needs to figure out more incentives and stuff for being a gamepass subscriber.
There is nothing they can say, that they already haven’t said, that will ever make the people concerned about this satisfied.
they didn’t say the amount of games will be multiplat. I think it’s clear they’re going multiplat with at least 75% of their titles. Halo is def the moment where everything is on the table and only reason for late ports is due to not enough time to make port like Indiana Jones.
I guess you are right. However i do think its more so that the customers in question can make decision as whether the ecosystem is worth it for them or not in the long run, honestly i think it would be fair to do so given the strategy itself has not been fully accepted by some while others are keeping a watch to see just how much of a commitment they do have towards their customers as i fear the latter is the most important thing that they should, in no circumstances, ignore in favor of other platforms. But that’s my opinion on the matter as i do think they would be entitled to at least have answers to their queries in that area as they are a part of the customer base of the platform no matter how we look at it.
Is it fun? No, of course its not.
Is it a necessity in some way? I believe so, as that would lead folks to make their own choices for next gen.
I don’t know, last year I wasn’t super fond of all this and now I’m OK with it, if it all goes to plan and things only get better, what do I care that PS and Switch owners get to play the games too?
What I do get is some…frustration I guess that I’m seeing on Twitter reacting to this, meaning that while Sony gets all these games, but where is Spiderman for Xbox in return? I do get that and boy how I wish that actually was the case. Sony gets these games from MS and MS gets these games from Sony. If it ever comes to that, it’s probably quite a long time away.
Infinite being ported over makes a million times more sense than MCC. I hope these rumors have it backwards.
That i feel like is the main point Xbox users are having with the whole shebang, that playstation and nintendo are having fun with the games of Xbox but they haven’t made the effort to port some of their games(Unless you count Bungie making multiplat and third party deals from Playstation) then is genuinely uinderstandable the frustrations of some. I do think some form of effort to make that happen is needed on Xbox Higher ups to make that a reality.
Yeah I get that as well.
There was also Death Stranding, but that is quite likely more thanks to Kojima than Sony. I don’t see Sony budging anytime soon with following Xbox in this regard, eventually maybe, but they also don’t really have to. They ship to their console and PC and it seems they can do without Xbox.
As for effort, well, I bet Phil/Xbox would love to see Spidey and other games come to Xbox, but is it really on them? Sony is just gonna say nah.
I think Spider man is very likely to come and sooner than some would think, if the results of Indiana Jones is anything to go by. I feel like Disney would demand a port for Xbox at this point given the success of Indiana on Xbox and PC
Shit, I’d welcome it for damn sure!

Huuh, I believe he only gave his opinion.
Yeah, clearly it was made to be an opinion. No need for agression here, if you want that nonsense go to iconera or resetera
I mean the rumor mongers specifically said FlightSim and Halo (was it Infinite or MCC?) would be ported to PS5 last year. So that part of it is a repeat.
