I’ve always doubted it’ll be OEM and more that the software experience could be deployed to any Windows device. So a a ROG Ally could run something like Xbox software.
Yes, they came up short, against PS’s worst performing console in a period where they were considered the likable brand.
They are doing something, the consoles are available in Europe, they haven’t pulled out, they’re just not pushing them as the centre piece (wasting a lot of money) with expensive and pointless marketing campaigns.
Yes, they were bad years, at the wrong time, against a bigger global brand doing it’s redemption tour.
The PC store doesn’t suck, it just isn’t steam / as good as steam. Had 4 different PC’s /laptops, had none of the issues you see doomed about all over the internet.
Do they exist? Probably.
Like everything internet related, have the issues been blown out of proportion?
Absolutely.
Make a PS5 Pro enhanced version too and watch the world burn, and enjoy selling like hotcakes this christmas Microsoft.
If Sea of Thieves made a lot of money on PS5, this one’s going to get MS over 100 millions revenue in like just a month.
It’s funny to see Sony not allowing the Xbox version of some lower budget lego Horizon game that’s releasing in every other platform, and meanwhile MS’s porting their, arguably, biggest game ever lol, understandable tho but still.
I was thinking the core games under MGS wouldn’t go multiplatform but all the games from the other arms Zenimax or ABK are possible. Which would be part of the reason they kept them separate.
360 was very popular and because PlayStation 3 actual had turn it around after the release fiasco, Microsoft should stop investing into Europe because they came up short ? Okay
The PC front definitely sucks. My gf had so many problems it’s not even funny. Like when a game suddenly don’t want to start anymore. Or this weird bug few month ago that you can’t play Tales of Arise when you’ve installed Palworld.
Must admit that im surprised the rumor is Forza Horizon 5 and not Starfield.
Anyway, as someone who went nuts and threw a temper tantrum six months ago, im over it and done with this shit. As long as Microsoft manufactures and releases a console with good specifications and keeps putting their games on Game Pass day one, I don’t give two shits what they do anymore business wise. It is what it is and I can’t do anything about it.
As for Final Fantasy XVI, it’s a great action adventure game but a disappointing Final Fantasy RPG game. I enjoyed it, rated it an 8.5/10 and still have to play both expansions. Combat/gameplay isn’t difficult or challenging at all but the story, characters, world, music and immersion makes up for it. Not saying the combat/gameplay is bad because it isn’t (I rated that category a 7.0/10 which is good on my rating scale), it’s just that the other three aspects I rate games in (graphics, audio and story) is simply a lot better. Or at least for me since I loved Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon.
True, very curious what that leads to. I wouldn’t mind console like pc experience because building a PC expensive. I am just unsure how the logistics of it works, but I would be down for a prebuilt xbox OS that has similar performance to the PS6.
I would like to point out that Xbox has more active console users now than they ever have before. The main problem of this generation for Xbox and PlayStation is that people are happy with their old consoles, not that they’re “losing” customers.
I get it if you’re worried about the future of the console, but the reality right now is that it’s as healthy as it has ever been.
Hey if Forza Horizon 5 gets ported PlayStation gamers can enjoy greatness! I do think PlayStation live service games will be cooked by Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 5! RIP Concord!!
This is Microsoft’s version of the saying “killing them with kindness”.
Flood the PlayStation ecosystem with Xbox content so that players spend their money on Xbox titles that only generate 30% for Sony, instead of spending their money on first party titles which would generate 100%.
It’s not really about people leaving the console but more that excitement to me. For example why would I want to waste time and money going for an Xbox event if they’ve become more like EA or Ubisoft.
Though I would rather see them do this now and get burnt than continue to have it in their thoughts.
I respectfully disagree. Forza’s age doesn’t matter. It’s a staple Xbox IP and it would mean all would be going, it would be no stretch to believe Fable would be arriving on PlayStation at the same time.
Let me say this before assumptions are made. I’m indifferent to Xbox direction, I see it more as pandering than business maybe even 4D chess, however I do think it would be better to go third party when they have their hybrid console as that makes it clear and messaging can flow with that. Right now, news like this just sends an air of dread and brings out the worst in many.
As long as every show is filled with games coming to my subscription day 1, excitement will never be a problem for me. Xbox will never be like EA or Ubisoft as a result.
Yeah same. If they are going to make big moves like Starfield or Forza Horizon, it should be once the hybrid console is confirmed as real. I’m excited about the prospect of a new Xbox next year, a hybrid console maybe makes some of this come more into focus.
