Xbox Games Showcase + SUPER SECRET DIRECT REVEAL | June 9

They know they can’t get away with it. Bethesda copped how much crap for not sending outlets they knew would lowball them on Starifeld early access? The game was an 88 on OC until those sites hit back with 4’s and 5’s. Stellar Blade meanwhile barely sent codes out and you didn’t hear a peep, because PlayStation PR is allowed to treat everyone like crap.

I still think they should. They need to make efforts in finding other media sites that treat them with dignity and respect. Because its just not fair to see this form of treatment on something that did not harm anybody, you know?

What are some third party publishers do you all think will make an appearance?

Money on Sega and 11bit.

Also, what indie game do you think will appear?

Grand Theft Auto 6

All are good choices to be honest. However am still a bit skeptic on Square Enix. I mean sure, the new Mana game was part of Developer Direct but could it be shown here as well as other stuff? I just do not know. Am more inclined to believe Netease games showing than Square. But thats my opinion.

you guys think they show the new controller or will they just hold out for next gen

  1. Capcom - Path of the Goddess (new trailer with release date)
  2. Electronic Arts - Dragon Age Dreadwolf (teaser, see more at EA Play…not yet announced but I think they will have a small event during “E3” week)
  3. Sega/Atlus - Metaphor (new trailer), perhaps that new rumored Sonic game but wouldn’t be shocked if it’s just Metaphor
  4. Square Enix - Octopath Traveler 2 (release date trailer), Visions of Mana (release date trailer)
  5. Ubisoft - Star Wars Outlaws (gameplay teaser, deep dive at Ubisoft Forward the next day), Splinter Cell Remake (teaser trailer, see more at the Ubisoft Forward the next day)

Indie game wise, im expecting 5+ but safe bet is Silksong with a release date trailer.

Is their a particular indie studio or studios you all wish to see debut a brand new game within the showcase?

Am certain Silksong is there alongside the likes of either 33 immortals or Flitlock but am wondering about the rest, you know?

Some thoughts as potential studios?

Would be great to see Square Enix back without announcing a port. Highly doubt it’s gonna happen. KH4 gameplay trailer would be nice.

And for indie studios it would be great to see the new game by ConcernedApe. Stardew Valley is amazing and I’m looking forward to the new game.

I like FPS but I still don’t give a shit about CoD. How should I put it…I find the themes off putting.

really keen for the showcase, Wonder if we get to see more about fable. Fable first look was soo good and I havent been this hyped for a game in a long time

More Fable gameplay seems likely, going by patterns… If a game shows gameplay at a previous showcase it is likely to show up at the next showcase.

I hope we see some Gears. I was never a huge fan, but I really enjoyed the last two games.

It seems like it’s the kind of game that Microsoft haven’t really delivered in a while, a blockbuster action game with guns and explosions.

To some degree I think Microsoft are saturated with RPG type stuff - Fable, Avowed, Clockwork Revolution are all on the coming soon list and while they were criticized in the past for having Halo, Gears, Forza on rotation, it feels like a long time since we had a Gears (yes, Hive Busters was a nice dlc) or since we had a Halo campaign to play. Or even a “serious” “gritty” action game in general.

So, personally, I’d like to see something apocalyptic and action orientated… And good.

I have mixed feelings about teh showcase. I know that they’ll show amazing games and I know, yet again, they’ll have the best showcase from all of the major publishers/platforms.

But after the last few months, this showcase sort of feels like a celebrity coming out of prison and doing a documentary to rehabilitate their reputation. The individual act is a positive one, but we cannot let that distract from their past behaviour. Don’t be distracted by the shiny new things. They have to prove to me they are done with studio closures and short sighted decision making before getting any more of my money. They undid 6 years of almost non-stop goodwill in 6 months.

So every showcase from everyone then?
