Skyrim and Fallout are the kind of video game IPs that your dad has heard of. If they can effectively communicate that this is the new game from the people who made Skyrim, they’ve got it made in the shade.
You know Skyrim, the universally lauded game of the generation and all time classic, until September 2020 when everyone spontaneously realized that it actually wasn’t all that good anyway.
If my father had lived to see the day of release of that game, he would have known all about it. I would have told him all about it, haha. To this day the game is great to play, there’s just something about it no other game has.
As for Starfield. The other day on XSX Reddit I saw a thread where someone said his friends had no idea what Starfield is. So it is not yet a known thing like a Spiderman is. But I’m sure after the Direct many more people will know what it is. It’s very good that it’s immediately after the Xbox show, many will be watching.
I do hope they market it after the Direct too. Not necessarily expecting Diablo 4 marketing, but what they did on those steps for Redfall was cool, Starfield sure as hell deserves a whole lot more.
I genuinely didn’t know this. Seriously? That really shocks me, I mean a racing game versus a Marvel IP.
It’s not apples to apples. Spider-Man sold like 25 million copies whereas Forza Horizon 5 has 30 million players. We don’t know how many total players Spider-Man has or how many copies Forza sold.
This is a return to the days of Mixer. Fucking awesome!
I hate how low res those streams have been for shows in general for a few years now. Making us rewatch all the trailers afterwards in WAY better quality. Now we’re getting it top notch quality right from the get go. Sweet!
I never want to read too much into things, but they are doing this for a reason. They are gonna show the goods.
