Perfect Dark would have made a good reveal since it’s now (presumably) closer to actually being ready.
Maybe we’ll get Lost Odyssey 2.

Hypothetically speaking, based on last year’s showcase, Xbox announced their friendship with Altus has begun. What if this year is with Square and FF7R part 1 goes to Game Pass on the same week. What will be your reaction?
I’d like some of t he OG games that made Xbox for me, like Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Jet Set Radio, Project Gotham Racing, Halo. I know some of those are almost guaranteed multiplatform now, but if they could get a deal done to get some exclusivity window it’d be awesome.
The partnerships they had with some partners back on the OG Xbox with Tecmo and Sega made it really special imo and I kinda wish they could bring some of that back!
Fable is a lock
Hmm, I think I would realize I am lucid dreaming and jump out the window and start flying, because MS giving advertising to FF7R when FF7R-2 is PS5 exclusive sounds like a 0% chance, lol.
Dragon Quest Dai adding an Xbox version with Play Anywhere and stuff does make it look like they’ve been talking to Square though. Maybe they’ll have some AA game from them. Or this is where the fabled FF14 Xbox port happens haha.
Stein has replied with “legend says we vaccumin…” something like that. obviously not teasing the revival or Fable Legends. ‘legends’ as in ‘fairy tale’ or some S referring to Fable. or not…
Vacuum simulator confirmed.
you joke. but some also speculated that the ‘vacuum’ part teasing a new Blinx game. wouldn’t be surprised given a fact that Spencer want more family-friendly games for the platform.
Seems you’re not the only one who thinks this.
Every big gaming persona that follows Xbox is now tweeting about Fable. If Fable is not at the show, they just set themselves up for massively disappointing fans.
I still dont wanna overhype myself but I am seeing SOME Fable theme in that vid now.
Regardless of that video I was predicting Fable. In this thread from Dec 2022 I put it in my games that will appear list.
I see that I was bang on about Starfield releasing in Sept 2023 ! However everyone in this thread, including myself, except @Mort took a massive L on Redfall’s metascore
. Also I listed State of Decay 3 as “will appear” even though it was not on the list that @DeoGame had there. That’s good, because I’m withdrawing that prediction
I wouldn´t expect Fable.
Question for you all what will it take to be an “E3 of dreams” moment? I would like to preface this by saying that this isn’t a prediction of what I think will be there just a analysis of what I think they have to do to have an “E3 of dreams”
Sony’s best showcase in E3 2016. Let’s analyze this.
Let me List all the games from 2016:
God of War(Gameplay)(2 years)
Days Gone(Trailer + gameplay later in the show)( Almost 3 years)
The Last Guardian(Trailer/gameplay)(Later in 2016)
Horizon Zero Dawn(Gameplay revealed the year prior)(9 months)
Detroit: Become Human(Trailer/gameplay) (2 years later)
Resident Evil 7 (Reveal)
Farpoint VR
Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR
Batman Arkham VR
final Fantasy XV
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
Crash Bandicoot Announcement & Skylords Imaginators
LEGO Star Wars Ep. 7
Death Stranding(Teaser)
Spider-Man(In-Engine Release 2 & half years)
By my count, that’s 7 exclusives and 5 that show gameplay snippets, and 5 3A. Plus a returning IP(Crash)
In order to match that would be this is what I think they have to do. Have 1 surprise(DS), 1 pop culture Icon(Spiderman), 2 games coming soon <1 year(The last guardian/HZD), 2 new IPs, 1 game that shows outstanding gameplay(GOW), and Lastly 1 big 3rd party reveal. Sony had massive momentum leading up to this showcase so I think Xbox has to outdo this a bit to match the same.
Hellblade 2-later this year/Q1 24(Gameplay)(Game that’s been shown off for years like TLG, ik that’s a bit of a stretch but TLG was hyped up back in 16)
Avowed-1st half 24(Gameplay)(Game Soon Like horrizon)
Fable-Q4 24(Gameplay)-Game Reimagined like GOW
Indiana Jones-25 (In-engine)-Spiderman
Compulsion-(Cgi is fine)(Suprise like DS)
Banjo/KI- Returning Ip(Crash)(Can be CGI)
State of Decay 3(Gameplay or In-engine)(Like Days Gone)
Splinter Cell(Game in shadows for years like RE after 6)
I would like to add that the Sonys showcase was very well-paced only 2 people talked the entire time. Having this with a solid supporting cast(Indies,3rd party) and no Craig moments, as well as maybe 1 to 2 other surprises, would easily make it the famed “E3 of dreams” for Xbox IMO.
Thoughts? @Solidevolution
Kind of a dumb tweet to begin with. If it doesn’t end up being shown it will lead to disappointment and if it does it’s better that people go in not expecting it so that they will be surprised when it shows up. We will probably find out if it was another marketing gaffe by Xbox social media today.
Edit: people say it’s Fable music, but I don’t recognize it as a song from Fable though it would fit. That combined with the fact that Fable is a late 2024 game at the earliest makes me think it’s another Stein gaffe.
Roll on next Sunday. Can’t wait.
Strangely enough there’s rumors it’s in development thanks to a job listing, though I think it’s a stretch with Indiana Jones being made
some fans recognized it as the bowerstone music from the 1st game. searched the ost on YT and yeah i thought it fits.
I’m sure Wolf 3 is in development in some form, even if it’s really early. Doesn’t mean we’ll see it before Indy.
My advice is to ease the expectations, especially when you’re setting up for one. Best to maintain because now you got yourself a potential one disappointment in your arsenal.
