Whatever they do, some people will hate it. We’ll know if they think they messed up if we see Phil doing damage control afterward.

For Bethesda, the moderate part within me would say either FO76 or ESO at the Xbox showcase, and the optimistic part would say a new game !
IF they do that format what will be the tent games at the showcase’s.

Obviously starfield is the biggest. Cant wait to see and and think it’s gunna blow people away. If it’s true that they delayed it this long just for polish then I’m really excited. It’s been a long time since their last big rpg fallout 4. Fallout 4 was probably their worst game in 10+ years(oblivion, Skyrim, and fallout 3 were all received much better). That being said fallout 4 is still a mainstay on the most played list which is nuts for a 7.5 year old single player game.

forza motorsports would get a good covering since the game is near completion. Racing fans will most likely love it. Graphically it will be a showcase for Xbox.

Hellblade 2, contraband, and avowed are all maybes for by June 2024. I think all 3 should be out but who knows for certainty.
Other than these 5 games I don’t see anything else big coming out in the next year unless it’s from Xbox publishing like contraband. i think with all 5 they could pull off the format if they show good.

Honestly I hope we see the first 5 games along with 3 of these games that are further out. That’s 8 big games which would make for an amazing show to go along with 3rd parties and gamepass auditions. No need to show all 16+ games coming in the next 2.5 years. Think it would dilute further shows unnecessarily.

Theres a definite difference between the fans or the media hating something. I mean look at the Playstation showcase, the media loved it and the fans despised it and the entire direction Playstation is heading. I won’t care what the media has to say as long as fans like it and the direction Xbox is heading. Thats far more important than the media that will be replaced by AI soon anyways

I just hope everyone loves it because I’m tired of all the constant negativity in the gaming space. It’s becoming as bad as politics and it doesn’t make any sense to me.

I kind of feel that is because of media. Media pushes neagtivity everywhere so it gets clicks. Some people worry about AI replacing Media but I dont. Thats our only shot to get out of the negativity cloud.

Yeah, media gives people what they want and they now have an increased incentive to do so. Gamers in general are terrible and social media has made them much worse as well. I’m just getting old.

Yeah I’m hoping for something like 2021, there was a lot of gameplay there and also some future stuff, I think it’s time to at least see Compulsions and InXile’s projects, hopefully, perhaps no lengthy in game trailer but something short with a title name would be good.
What’s very exciting especially about this show is the fact that Starfield and Forza are getting their own dedicated shows, that probably means they won’t take much or any space in the main event, so many projects they could put in there, hope anything aiming for 2025 shows up.

Me? I’m tempering my expectations to Forza Motorsport, Starfield, Hellblade 2 and Avowed when it comes to the big guns. Anything more you’re POTENTIALLY setting yourself up for disappointment. But yea those four are more than enough to beat Sony’s showcase and are conservative predictions imo.

The news of the event never ceases to amaze me! I am receiving information that will leave everyone with their mouths open… It’s just that if I tell you it’s going to leave you with your jaws on the floor.
Two unexpected games are on the way and they are going to be absolutely amazing. I can only tell you, be prepared to be speechless because I’m getting info that will blow your minds!

Media didn’t love it. A few weird sites went to damage control for Sony probably for fear if they didn’t they’d lose access.
Most mainstream media said it was ‘ok to disappointing’ or somewhere in that range which I’d say is fair. The show was ok. We all know if Xbox announced a bunch of live service titles with CGI only trailers and no sense as to what the games will be we’d have headline after headline saying they were about to close Xbox and that Xbox has nothing to offer gamers etc etc…
