I get you. Though lately, Remake (not remaster) is often seen as new game nowaday, so it’s actually fine to do so.
IF we don’t see any leaks from anyone else then I will say this was an intentional leak… that’s what my gut is telling me anyway.
I did also forgot to say FromSoft with Souls game, because maybe Armored Core 6 won’t be as good. But maybe they’re just that damn good. We’ll see.
You’re misunderstanding. Getting P3R won’t matter if Xbox doesn’t get Persona 6. The years old comment is for Xbox, the platform and in general. Not for me. I will see it as a waste or money, time and resources for Microsoft if they don’t get Persona 6 day one on Xbox. Doesn’t have to be on Game Pass which it wouldn’t be but it does have to be on Xbox because if not, what was the point of building a close relationship with Sega and bringing all the older Persona games to Xbox in the first place?
I don’t care about P3R not because it’s old but because it’s NOT my type of game. Again, the old comment is in general for Xbox as a platform mainly related to Persona 6.
even more odd not caring about certain franchise but you ‘feel’ disappointed if Xbox doesn’t or won’t get the next game from said franchise.

Yeah, perhaps but which do you think is more vital to Xbox? Getting the old Persona ports or Persona 6? Majority of those on Xbox that play Persona may like the series but if they realize that they’re not getting Persona 6 day one like PlayStation, then they may just drop off the series so in order to retain whatever fan base they gain from the older releases, they need to retain them by having Persona 6 day one on Xbox.
It’s not odd. I want Xbox to be better, to get all the games day one regardless of if they’re for me or not. Majority of Japanese games I don’t give two craps about BUT that doesn’t mean that I want them to skip Xbox. Microsoft needs to grow Xbox platform and one way to do that is by getting the Japanese games because if you don’t, those who are into them are automatically going to default to PlayStation.
To me, old ones are already covered. The next two are new whether you agree or not. They are new. It’s smart to introduce the fans their games via Game Pass, so now they are trained to see Persona as important enough to invest. Persona 5 was in top 20 most played in USA. P3R was trending more than Summer Games Fest. That’s a big deal.
The current conversation almost makes me hope that Phil Spencer says “We’re thrilled to be working with Atlus to bring Persona 3 Remake and Persona 5 Tactics to Game Pass, and the next entry in the Persona series to Xbox” (not actually having the trailer but confirming that it’s coming)

I agree and it is a big deal but if Xbox doesn’t get Persona 6 day one, then it just feels like all of what they’ve done was for nothing.

Persona 3 Remake on Xbox One in 2024 also makes me think that Persona 6 is not skipping last gen.

These two Persona games are new for every platform (AND day 1 on GP), so it is already a BIG step in the right direction with regards to Atlus games at least.

I currently have no doubts about Persona 6 being day one on Xbox(running on hopium), because Sega is giving Atlus the support they need to make it happen and Microsoft seems very intent on working with Sega to get all their games on the platform.

At worst its a timed exclusive on PS5. WE aren’t waiting 6 years. And with how Atlus do Golden and Royal versions of their games. The wrost case scenario being lets wait ayear to play it…I’ll live.
I still think its Day 1 Xbox though but not Gamepass.
