Xbox Game Studios |OT9| How many games would a game studio make if a game studio could make games?

I really hope we get to see John Johanas’ game at TGS. Very unlikely, though.

I had no idea Minecraft Legends was multiplatform. Why though? Is it because all platforms have Minecraft and this will likely pull a lot of players in?

The last Minecraft spinoff was multiplat, why would this game be any different?

Because at some point I kinda expected every game from XGS, with the exclusion of games like F76, TESO to be Game Pass only.

In retrospect it’s not impossible this is something they pushed for during the acquisition - something akin to Sony’s deal for Bungie. Or Microsoft just decided there is more benefit in keeping Minecraft multi-platform and is going to continue to support that across the franchise.

Day One Gamepass

I’ve been interested in the development of this game for almost 10 years.

The Thief and the Cobbler of gaming. But seriously, interested to check out. Development wise remind me of that sci-fi horror game that recently got announced as Game Pass.

Routine ?

Next month should finally bring some clarity on Deathloop, or well, I sure as hell hope so. They didn’t have it in their “next twelve months” list because that’s not allowed. Kinda fucking ridiculous when you think about it. It’s their game but can’t speak on it.

The "exclusive until at least…"in one of those trailers muddies it a bit. Wish Sony with their deals would just be clear. No BS like until at least. That gives me FF7R vibes.

It’s a 2 way street on these kind of deals. Publishers are just as fault as Sony are.

That’s true. But so far with all of these deals by Sony we just don’t know when the deal ends. But I guess that goes for MS too, if it hadn’t been leaked nobody would know Stalker 2 is 2 or 3 months.

Let’s hope MS can and will at least mention it soon. If it doesn’t land on GP in September that’s OK, October or November is fine too but hopefully just a mention at least.

And there’s also one of the Deathloop voice actors earlier this year teasing a new project. Ideally this is a standalone ala Death of the Outsider. Worst case it’s DLC for the game and extending the exclusivity. Time will tell eh.

But no one cares about American Football…

Yes, its wonderful to see all those Bethesda titles in the charts. I just wanted to point out the Football thing as i recall so many comments by others that no one outside of North America cares about football.

A little more Pentiment on landscapes we haven’t seen

A hundred characters all different with different names who do different things and are in different places at different times of the day until bedtime.

In the morning they work, at noon they eat, in the afternoon they work, in the evening they eat and go to bed. We are going to follow the evolution of an entire village over 25 years.

The characters who are already old will die of old age, the children will grow up, we will have to solve an investigation of several murders, listen to people’s conversations, dialogue, gain their trust our choices and actions will have consequences on several generations we will have to designate a culprit according to our judgment without knowing if it is this person who committed the murders because the game will never tell us (it was like that at the time there were no fingerprints, bloodstain analyzes … . ) We had to find a culprit and burn him at the stake without knowing if he was the right person.

Pentiment has no dialogues, we can understand a character just with the type of writing he uses we can understand his character. someone angry will have thick bold writing with scratches, someone shy will have transparent writing for example… the game will only be written in old text with hand-calligraphic illuminations in the techniques of era.

There will also be the possibility of zooming out of the game screen when there are texts that are difficult to understand. We will then have a glossary available to explain the definition of words.

We then realize that Pentiment breaks the 4th wall and is actually a game in a book placed on an old wooden table that we, the player, read.

This is a summary of what penment is for those who still don’t know the concept is original and unique and complex to understand.
