Bethesda is staffing up.
Can someone explain to me what a stealth archer is in this context lol
I think the specific job title is a joke, cause stealth archer is a build in Elder Scrolls. Unless Bethesda has decided to take some particularly aggressive moves to ensure developers keep working.
I’m not sure exactly what it’s for but it’s most likely a role for Elder Scrolls 6
I asked Jez. He says there is a chance Wumpa League was moneyhatted because it was tested on PS5 and PC earlier this year, but this is conjecture on his end.

ABK was really seriously in bed with Sony. Microsoft should be more aggressive with exclusivity.
What are you talking about
Blizzard wasn’t really, they were with Xbox, so it’s just Activision, and “in bed” implies they have some love or loyalty for Playstation and that’s why they do deals with them, not that they were simply doing… business.
Bethesda has “further unannounced titles” in development
Big if true!
Bethesda Softworks is the publisher, not the game studio. Of course the publisher has unnanounced projects.
Lol yes, It’s a “the sky is blue” reporting. These Twitter accounts…
Possibility of a soulslike game from 1st party or XGS Publishing? I think higher with how they seem to target them on Game Pass and how hot the genre is right now.
Would be interesting, but I wonder if they would have to hire people with experience with the type of combat soulslike use?
I kinda get the feeling that they are okay with Game Pass deals for stuff like that.
I don’t know, probably people but not necessarily studios. Plenty of teams have been able to adapt the souls genre without prior experience necessarily, it is essentially a relatively new genre.
That does well I guess but owning something that is more in a 1st party quality and will be there on the service forever would be a more optimal outcome, especially for a genre that is no longer niche.
Desperately asking Xbox fans to not think MS has to chase every trend in the industry.
For Gamepass to be where it wants to be, you should ideally strive to please as much demographics as possible with quality.
I don’t think it’s “chasing trends” if a random studio under MS wants to work on a soulslike game.
Like mentioned above you can do that (and MS is doing that) with gamepass deals or even MS publishing. Moreover, you need studios that want to make those types of games. And even then there will be niches missing. It’s best to enjoy what gamepass has to offer, since it’s impossible to have everything covered.
Nobody really said that they SHOULD make a Souls game though, just wondered if they would. It’s a popular game style right now, seems reasonable speculation that one of the studios under Microsoft might want to explore it.
