Hmm maybe, first few Harry Potter were among my comfort movies for a while. We’ll see about that I guess, but I think that game is gonna slip into 2023.
Hey there’s always Deliver Us Mars. ![]()
All kidding aside, had Todd Howard not tripled down on that release date last year the blow wouldn’t have been nearly as hard. But I’m sure this is something he won’t do again, lol.
I remember how plenty people here, and other places called it ridiculous and all that to even think about a delay into 2023. Well…
think either complusion or Inexile will be at this year’s VGAs.
from here on out, any already announced first parties won’t be seen or heard from again until they are coming out in that “within the next 9-12 month window.”
2019 - HB 2
2020- PD
2021- HB2 gameplay
So 2022- PD again with some gameplay ?
Okay this is cool but if this is the reason this game is taking 7 years to come out ![]()
Ninja Theory is playing hide and seek games right now
They are talking about Bird pop right now but look at the birds how cool they look with good quantity as well
This game will strike so different when it launches
If they show Hellblade 2 at the TGAs again I think people will just be pissed off and think how has this game not been released yet. I expect a blowout of the game at E3 or some other Xbox branded event not TGAs again. What the TGA reveals were suppose to be for are games very far out, pretty sure Phil or someone else said this.
I expect something else for TGAs this year, we might see what The Coaltition is up too for example.
Goes to show you what happens to your game if your support it well after launch, and what happens when you support it poorly… still have hope 343 will turn it around
It’s highly likely we will get PD gameplay this TGA 2022
And what’s the point if the game doesn’t come out next year?
I agree. If you don’t have anything to show just don’t. No point getting peoples hopes up.
???
But who even knows? It could be a holiday 2023 release.
Personally I’m not gonna bet on release dates at all anymore. For a while it seemed 2022 was going to be the start of seeing what the new studios have been cooking up and just like that 2022 is a wasteland when it comes to first party. Well, we SHOULD see Deathloop next month.
Redfall right now seems likely for the first half, I can’t help but have strong doubts about Starfield and I’ll leave it at that. Then there’s Fable, Contraband, Hellblade 2, Perfect Dark. Not to mention inXile with their big RPG, Avowed, the IO Interactive game, Compulsion and so on. It’s a super promising lineup but feels like an eternity to truly see them too. Unfortunately.
Actually last year really seemed to be the start of big releases much more often by Xbox, and way less draught. With Halo, Psychonauts 2, MSFS, FH5, and then continuing into 2022. Well, nope.
I’d argue in Perfect Dark’s case (and a couple other games) it might be beneficial to get these games on display and be able to say “hey look, you’ve heard the leaks - they made the development sound bad, but here they are!” and take back the hype cycle a bit. Only if they were in a position to really show off something good though.
But what’s the point if the game is far away? Hype will die out.

Really want to see a return of the X0 event this year.

It can just be a digital show
