Xbox Game Studios |OT9| How many games would a game studio make if a game studio could make games?

You know people will be freeze framing it to make sure it’s all up to scratch

I still can’t forget the people downplaying Hellblade’s graphics from the last demo by taking blurry screenshots . Sadly some rabid fanboys have too much time on their hands

It’s so easy to do >.<

Gaz…

If you don’t know how the process of developing games works.

I think they could pretty easily implement Intial D style mountain drift courses. I think the folks that want Project Gotham like city environments will be disappointed though because that isn’t Forza’s strength.

In looking forward to seeing what Test Drive Unlimited looks like since that is open world Hong Kong.

Imagine if it won’t appear on the show…Basically we would have then a narrative about Fable being in development hell, while rumors about all the teams submitting the content and yet not getting Fable. Also I expect people thoroughly check each and every frame of Starfield to find issues and prove that is not ready to be released :joy:

Yeah, I think a lot of people want that when thinking about Japan.

Microsoft sure was in a unfortunate position with a brand new console coming, with the other good news being all these new studios but also the unfortunate fact that many of these games were very early in development, but they couldn’t have an empty show so these games had to be announced.

This year started string with the announcement of them acquiring ABK but after that the momentum they had built didn’t continue and like you said, we got news of delays, of which one really came out of left field. Then there was the news about Perfect Dark, which could be seen as good news and bad, depends on where you stand, same with SoD 3 and so on.

Nah. I definitely believe once MS has shown something tangible of all the games announced (or majority) in 2020, a lot of worries will go away. Once they get a good look at Avowed, at Starfield, Redfall. I don’t expect actual gameplay from Fable, but still something would go a long way. Again, Dead Space remake, in full development but from early on we got actual gameplay footage. Horizon ZD iirc was shown a long time before its launch and there have been many other games.

I guess it will depend on if the studio sees worth in doing this, after all it takes time off from development too.

There will always be trolls or those just trying to find the bad in everything, but not nearly as much. I think it’s really time to see the games and it definitely should change the narrative quite a bit from there on out.

The Twitter trolls should just be ignored, but I and others here too did notice that when the camera rotated around Senue, her face had this blur on it. But that could be anything, could be motion blur for example and I’m sure in the finished product it will look nice and crisp.

People will just argue about downgrades. Like even with Hellblade 2 people was arguing that it was not the in-game footage and with Starfield (despite having literally “alpha in-game footage”) people were arguing that it was CGI.

People freaking out about Fable scaling down, a game we’ve never seen footage of. I haven’t 100% achieved a game aside from Battlefield 1943 and that Doritos racing game on Xbox 360.

This is an opinion. Plenty of publishers (including Sony) announce games just as far in advance as Xbox did.

The difference is that Xbox didn’t have much releasing in the meantime.

Yeah, that’s the true reason why early announcements annoy people.

Right, but they have to show SOMETHING in their showcases. If all they have is Gears, Forza and Halo and then games which are years away, then that’s what they have to do.

This shouldn’t happen anymore. Microsoft needed to announce those games in 2020 because they started building up their first party in 2018 and none of those games were ready and they had to let people know they were committing to producing games. Imo MS will eventually move into 6-12 month window (Forza Horizon basically) between announcement and release once their new studios are all releasing games unless it’s a new IP and they need staff.

They started building first party in 2018.

I meant 2018 lol I don’t know why I wrote 2020. But it takes time to build new studios and games so their release/announcement will change and I see it becoming more similar to Bethesda.
