We don’t have enough data yet to prove her claims on both PlayStation are or are not true.

I mean I know Minecraft is technically published by XGS on PS4 (they’re on the box) but it’s Minecraft and Ori is Ori.
Would Sony even want a game that has a bunch of XGS logos and a character deeply mascoted to Xbox (Forza Horizon Horns, Ori Plushes, Easter Eggs in other XGS games, Greenburg in that onesie) on PlayStation?
Like MLB was a special circumstance, and Minecraft was platform agnostic for years, but Ori has been with Xbox for years and Xbox would still own the IP, so would Sony even allow it on their ecosystem?

I think MLB on GamePass was probably only gonna happen this one time because I don’t think Sony is take that from MLB again.
They’ll just take their studio and go home.

What’s all of this Moon studio drama this thread is talking about?
Moon Studio had a post on OtherERA on why they went multiplat and Jez kind of confirmed the story.
Basically “Our art needs to be on many platforms as possible and Microsoft wouldn’t allow us to release on PlayStation despite allowing a Switch version.”

Because Ori is an Xbox owned IP and published by Xbox Game Studios, and the last developer tied to the game (Moon Studios) made statements.

I mean in the end it doesn’t really matter because Ori’s story was pretty much done by the end of Will of the Wisps.
well very weird statement when knowingly signed game to a console manufacturer. I just hope relationship isn’t soured and their next game can launch on gamepass
Nah Jez seemed to think the milk’s gone bad and they probably won’t work together again.
Like for real, apparently not releasing on many platforms as possible despite allowing a Switch port really pissed off the main guy from Moon.

What’d I miss
I’ll admit that it’s easy for me since I don’t care about the Ori games or even Moon, but if they decided to skip Xbox(hypocritically of course) all together in the future, then cool. It’s okay for some bridges to be burned and never repaired.
Playstation leaker mentioned Xbox signing a big third party exclusive that both parties were happy with.
Their next game is an RPG though I think
