I mean the game leave the acquisition talk to where it belongs
We donât discuss acquisitions in this thread? Oh thatâs also for the other thread?
Normally yes I think but I wonât tell anyone but in truth at this point I donât really care to discuss about acquisitions Iâm here for the games
I think Horizon 5 is a safe bet but what else⌠what elseâŚ
when Microsoft can finally hold another bombastic style e3 style conference inside the Microsoft theater you know what I want to see? I live orchestra like sony did during their e3 2016 conference. It really adds to the atmosphere before you watch a great showing, just imagine them doing this right before showing off Elder Scrolls 6 to the world except with Inon Zur

If covid wasnât a thing would of loved a halo orchestra
Yep exactly. Forza horizon 4 did 12 million in one year. Dominates the most played chart 2.5 years after release. Probably has 20 million players by now⌠all without steam. And yes SOT has put up amazing numbers.
Both of those games are examples of how successful a service game can be. Halo mcc, and halo5 are still charting well 5+ years after release.
Gears is Microsoftâs 8th most played game(including bethesda) in the US right now acording to the Microsoft store. All 7 ahead of gears where released before it. The game absolutely bombed on steam.
Coalition deserves better. They are probably Microsoftâs best studio. They could be making the next halo, or the next fallout. Instead they are stuck on a decaying franchise.
If gears 6 does similar numbers to 5 or continues on this downward trajectory i fully expect the team to become a 2 team studio(if they havenât already)
Donât you guys get tired?
Gears is fine and sold a lot of subs. The series will continue
Damn Halo Infinite is doomed, so much fake news about this game, itâs exhausting
Throw in there some âGears is a decaying franchiseâ tooâŚsome dudes in here really donât like Gears are they? apparently all it matters is the spot of a game on the most played list of XBL, Xbox having one of the top tier 3rd person shooters on the market doesnât count because casuals donât play Gears multiplayerâŚand all that after the release of a super polished, great piece of content that proves The Coalition finally knows very well what they are doing with the IP and Gears 6 can only get better.
All this talk about the spot of a game on the most played XBL games list being the deciding factor of itâs fate is like I am seeing Kotick writing posts, thank god some publishers/devs donât think like that and we still see games that are not judged and/or designed around being popular on the âmost played XBL listâ. I would not like to see a future where Xbox is making decisions about itâs portfolio based on a freakinâ list.
I will start flagging.
Mr Squirrel, do you know something about this?
I might or might not, but in the end it doesnât matter, as I wonât communicate it anyway.
If you look at the resources the group has and the output the team achieved in the past, and realise we only know about one small to mid-sized game today (As Dusk Falls â and maybe MS Flight Sim support), the logical conclusion should just be that there are more surprises with partner studios the XGS Publishing team is working on for quite some time now.
Dave Mongan, who is a narrative director at Global Publishing and who worked on Flight Simulator, indicated that they are working on several AAA games on his Linkedin.
As Narrative Director on the Xbox Game Studios Publishing team, oversee all narrative-related elements for multiple XBOX first-party franchises, most recently the critically-acclaimed âMicrosoft Flight Simulatorâ and other exciting new AAA titles yet to be announced.
Sorry
We will pass the list of valid topics to discuss with you before posting then.
This is not correct and not the point of all the discussions that consistently happen around the game here.
